スコッティーズが来日コンサートをするというので親を拝み倒して、チケットを取り、武道館へ初めて出かけました。アリーナ席でしたがPatは遠くて、横一列にくっついていたパイプ椅子をみんなですこーしずつ前にずらして、ちょっとでもPatに近づこうと必死だった当時の少女が私です。

Patがコモドアーズが好きと当時のインタビューで答えていて、私も急いでアルバムを買いに走った。懐かしい思い出。彼の作る曲にはそういう好みが反映されていて、かっこよかったなあ。

Pat is clearly in his element here doing what Pat does best whipping his fans into a frenzy . A legendary guitarist with the looks of an angel and a voiced that charmed millions . The late Leslie Richard McKeown called him the best musician he had ever worked with . Patrick is genuinely nice person 🌹

Good to see some live footage of the Rollers, since so many people seem to think they couldn’t play and all their appearances were lip-synced. Here ya go. They were definitely well capable of playing their instruments, and playing them well. That’s why I’ve never been comfortable with the “boy band” label. When I think of boy bands, I think of choreographed dance moves and 4 or 5 guys singing over pre-recorded tracks without even touching actual musical instruments. That wasn’t the Rollers. Not only did they play their own instruments, but they also wrote a lot of their own songs. Especially from the 3rd album-forward. Were they the greatest musicians and songwriters? Not really, but they weren’t bad either. They had some pretty catchy, rocked-up songs. Just because the vast majority of their fans were teenage and preteen girls doesn’t make them a “boy band”, even if they were marketed as such.

Is there any one that went to see these shows ? I love to hear from any one !☺️❤
