Do you have to take lessons and a test to drive with hand controls?
Sheila Kinzel hi! I’m getting an assessment today by AMA. They then write a letter to drivers ed and they determine if I need lessons or if I can just get my license back or if I need to do a road test.
Very nice to see you out and about and regaining more independence. A woman that I was involved with had lost her legs AK & BK drove herself to and from work everyday.
IDYLBERRY that would be the ultimate goal! Right now my dialysis schedule is what holding me back from working.

Hi great job, I also had both my legs amputated above the knee, Im a new beginner learning how to walk with stubbies. Not a easy job. Keep up the hard work. Great videos, I learn new things everyday with my physical therapist.
Jeraldine Simental I’m sorry to hear that you are going through the same thing. Thanks for the words of encouragement. I haven’t been able to train on my stubbies for 6 weeks now so once I get back on them it’ll be like starting over. You keep your chin up and keep chugging along!

After some training and practice, she will discover that stubbies are by far the most comfortable prosthèses !
geneve2008 would you suggest not to get knees and stick to the stubbies? I’m so torn right now, even though I’m not close to even being ready for knees.
Typically, stubbies, short or long, are not fitted with "knees" (mid length articulations) ; the most comfortable ones, and the safest ones, or of the shorter model, very convi-enient for use at home - but not only !
For hair- style it up as a mohawk🤘 I flagged every video I saw under that shitty person stealing your videos

It is cool, but so slow for winter. The seat is leather so it is so cold to get on. The seat actually comes out and down quite far, I just don't have the patience to wait so I just jump on. Danny calls me a gymnast.
And you are in! Love the automatic seat as it makes it so much easier.
