Thank you for watching, and for your kind words. And for your check-in at the Bowl.
What is your preferred hang angle?
Thanks for watching and for your question. The angle, if I remember the rhyme correctly, depends on both heat and mass.
Sorry for your loss
Thanks for watching, and for your sympathy
Hello 👋 I recently got into camping not just in summer but also in winter, I was wondering if sleeping in hammock is viable option in freezing temperatures if I have appropriate sleeping bag or is not advisable? PS Great video👍
Thanks for the comment, and ABSOLUTELY, I use it for snow camping, but my set-up is different in 3 key ways: 1) Once I find two appropriately-spaced trees, I then dig a deep trench between them about 6 feet wide. 2) Using the same 2 trees, I hang a tarp above the trench, then seal all the edges with snow, making a nice warm "cave." 3) Finally, rather than an expensive zero-degree sleeping bag, I carry two lighter summer bags. One goes on the inside of the hammock, the other around the outside, as described in the video. Thanks for watching!
No. Don't bother with the freezing thing, that does almost nothing. The tanks will not be full enough to be worth the trouble. Just use the bleed / overpressure valve to bleed the gas out. Use needle nose pliars. Use a kitchen scale to get back to the full weight.
Thanks so much for your insight. I haven't tried the bleed valve method, but I can tell you that freezing them makes a huge difference, and have been able to re-use them without issue. Appreciate you watching and your comments!
Also, California has banned future sales of this excellent 1lb propane tank. So, keep your empties, so U can refill them. These little tanks are filled by weight, so have a semi-accurate kitchen scale available, to know when they are about full.
Thanks for the info!
just go to a free state to buy them, like everything else. California sucks. Actually any state that has been taken over by Democrats sucks.
true, you "can" refill them... refiled tanks cannot be transported anywhere as they are not DOT compliant to be transported... they doo wear out and I have personally (yes I used to do it at first) seen one catastrophically fail after being refiled 2 times... luckily nobody was near (over 100 yds away) it, it spontaneously burst, thankfully without burning/igniting but the energy involved is still massive... even on the first fill they can be weakened especially in warm weather... they do make specifically refillable ones and yes they do cost more than new ones but you will also notice that they are more than 10x the thickness in the steel walls, much higher quality valves and are worth every penny... a full one suddenly letting go within a few feet of you WILL kill you... the reusable tanks can be refilled indefinitely...
I appreciate your insight. This is why I stop at 5, but I'll keep a watch on the wear. Thanks for your comment!
You don't know what you don't know!
This is actually outdated way of thinking. You just have to let them know that their behavior is not ok. You have to have a confidence when approaching a dog. Which is what this system you implemented created for you
Thanks for the comment! Our lovely dog was totally obedient and subservient to us, and she surely knew this behavior was not OK. She was only trying to establish an order in the pack with the new "puppy." Thanks again!
amazing video!😊
Glad you liked it!!
