Those are actually much easier than this song, and, one of these days I just might be in the mood for a little bit of easy. Nothing easy about soloing over black Peter and china doll… I’ve been working on these. I can usually take off ok, then get stuck over the chord changes. Learning a lot!

@@ocpblo well sorry to be contradictory but I also always say there's no such thing as an easy song. It's going to be difficult one way or another, usually in getting the feel. Is for me anyway

Those are extra light strings, too, kind of hard to play with them flopping around. I sold the guitar, even though it is a pretty darn good guitar.

I appreciate that, thank you. Yes I'm well aware it's different. It's hard enough playing bare-fingered finger style, especially how I play it, and then try to play exactly like the original.

The idea being not to "mimic" the origional, but to make it your own, unless you're in a cover band, I suppose. This is an interesting interpretation. Going to have a go at it. Maybe change it up a little. Strive for some degree of originality.

@@scottmhorn This was the early 1980s. We never realised how gloriously free we were then. I like recalling that you’d vanish off the face of the earth after setting off, like olden times. We’d call home to let them know we’d made it, especially if it was dark and raining. I was still mostly motorcycling, and two hundred miles at night was an adventure, pre motorway. God, I’d give anything to be back there.
