Is Muse still open?
It is, and it's epic.
Alessandro is not only a legend, he’s a true gent.
Agreed!
That is absolutely mental that they had to buy their own cleaning products 😂
Crazy right!
love alessandro!! great watch 😎
Thank you for watching!
Great chat with Kim. Photography has certainly evolved significantly, to the point where success in the industry often seems accessible if you have the financial resources and a basic sense of composition. Years ago, I shadowed Darren Heath, and I was disappointed to find that much of his process involved holding down the shutter 24/7 continuously and selecting the best shots afterward. In contrast, I worked with a modest Nikon F100, limited to 32 frames per role, where capturing the perfect moment required precise timing and careful attention to settings. Photography was a true test of skill-but those days seem to be long behind us.
Thanks for watching!
I shot motorsports for years. It's hard work and with a few exceptions, doesn't pay well. Always enjoyable to see when a shooter makes it to the top of their game like Kym has, making great content and bringing us along for the ride. 👍
so true!
Wow!! What an insightful conversation! I'm so happy I found this channel and episode. I started following Jo Bird a while ago on LinkedIn as an aspiring branding professional. I love her content and her personal touch to everything she does. I'm still learning about being a creative, but it's amazing to see successful people out there, like you both, talking about branding, especially personal branding and the stories behind it all! And of course, it was great practical advice, especially as someone trying to plan my career. And I absolutely loved the entire conversation! Your questions were so thoughtful and invoked great energy and deep responses from Jo! It was like watching a conversation between two friends. Love the work- now I'm subscribed!
Thank you so much for watching the episode, appreciate your support!
basically just encouraging girls to post thirst traps online while telling them they still deserve a traditional guy or a relationship
I find this really interesting listening to toms side of the story because my dad is David Cavalier and I have heard his side of all the story’s from back in the day and I love listening to the crazy stories that he comes out with
Thank you for listening!
Love this, thank you
👊🏻👊🏻
Lots of money. Do I win a prize for answering the title question?
i hope his food is more exciting than him
Ive only just started watching and already in awe of the production and vibes, excited to watch the full thing!
Thank you, really appreciate it. Enjoy the full episode
Loved it - thank you both 👍
Thanks for watching!
Love you sweetheart Ronan ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤😂😂
This is a really good interview. Clearly a great founder as well.
Appreciate your kind words. He is indeed!
Very good episode!
Thank you!
What a QT.
Lovely interview. Kym ever articulate and brilliant at what he does. Looking forward to more like this.
Thank you
As a newbie F1 fan, Kym is the best thing to happen to me Love from SOUTH AFRICA 🇿🇦🏆🇿🇦
Followed Kym, probably not far off from the start of his F1 photography career, in recent years I've found more and more out about him through just random curiosity and he's a really interesting dude. Great interview and the reason I've stumbled across your channel. Well played Olly 👍
Absolutely brilliant and interesting conversation. Wish you both well…..🙏
👊🏻👊🏻👊🏻
Ah yes when I was on holiday in the alps skiing with my boyfriends family, I just couldn’t fathom being stressed out while shredding the gnar
man show the photo next time smh
👍🏻
It's: AN F1 photographer' not A F1 photographer, the title alone makes me not wanna watch ... even though I like Kym's channel, I'll go watch his video's instead.
Enjoy his content 👍🏻
@@OllyFawcettI always do. Fix the title, makes you look bad 😁
Great video! Love Kym and follow his channel 🤘
Cheers thanks for watching!
Kym is definitely a people person, and he will excel in whatever he does.
Agreed!
and stay passionate !!!
Thoroughly enjoyed this interview. Thank you
Thank you
Thoroughly enjoyed this interview, thank you
Thank you for watching!
Amazing interview. Kudos.
Appricate it
So cool Tom 🔥
Epic ep!
👏
I shot F1 mainly in North America from 1983 thru 1994! Imola was my Last F1 race!!😓
Exactly. What is lacking a lot these days.
I often try to spot Kym in pre/ post race F1 live coverage. The dude knows how to brand himself cause he always has a bucket hat on. Legend tbh
Hey there, It's Borhan here! I'm a huge fan of your "What It Takes with Olly Fawcett" UA-cam channel. Your content is always top-notch, and I can see the passion and effort you pour into each video. I believe you have incredible potential to reach an even wider audience with a solid UA-cam strategy. I would love to schedule a short meeting with you to discuss how I can help you grow your channel faster. This is not a sales call, but an opportunity to share ideas and offer assistance. Let me know if you're interested, and we can find a convenient time to chat. Thanks for your time and for creating such amazing content.
MONEY
Wow , quite insightful from Kym 9:23 When he talks about how he mentally dealt with the challenges of is first business. People of today would be sulking and blaming other people and playing victim. Really good mentality He really deserves all the success he's earned 💯
Jpg or raw?…
Both. I have two cards in the camera.
Why don't you have someone on who actually makes a living from taking photos of F1. Not some rich guy who does it as a hobby.
It all comes from Kym's work ethic.
Step 1 is to have mates to give you a pass and have a good camera - then Step 2 is hope you get one good shot out of 1000
Kym marketing is genius
Huge thx & appreciation for this excellent chat/interview with Kym Illman Olly, so much so that I’m now subscribed & keen to peruse your past & future content! 👌🏽 I’m a fairly new subscriber to Kym’s channel & as a casual but highly enthusiastic fan of all things Formula 1 (esp. in the last few yrs!), I 💯 lucked out as imo he undoubtedly has THE BEST ‘all ‘round’ F1 content out there, checking ALL the boxes & some! It’s sooo cool to learn more about this inspiring soul & his life’s journey! 🙌🏽 Cheers! 🏎️
This was great
This guy is living my absolute dream shooting F1. I've been shooting automotive action for years but waiting and grinding for that break in! Awesome hearing all of this stuff from someone who has made their way in. Good work!
👊🏻👊🏻
Well.... Kym and F1 Photographer..... it just doesn't fit. He bought his way in. He is no more than average and really he doesn't need the money and brings his crew to film him while shooting average images. TBH is not a great addition to F1, and I know how many regulars felt about him when he started and how some still feel that trying to give pics away to Teams is not good. F1 photographers do not travel in Business or First Class planes, they do it on a budget, they do not have 4-5 cameras and as much lenses as he has, and no they are not rich as he was since Day 1. So.... nope thanks.
Fair enough for commenting. But it’s a shame you have made some claims that aren’t true. I personally think Kym is an amazing addition to formula 1, he brings a new perspective to the sport and has worked incredibly hard to give value to his audience. Don’t really know what you mean by that statement about buying his way in… he followed same process every other photographer has to follow. You might have seen a few of his videos on business flights and first class planes, can’t see a single problem with that tbh. Positive vibes only on this channel.
@@OllyFawcett Fair enough also. But I can dislike him and tell some truth. Oh no, he did not by what i've heard. I can see the issue. The issue is that this is Not the reality of the most of the F1 Photographer's out there. Positive vibes only, no issues. I haven't said anything wrong, just what I know about the guy and that I don't feel it's a rolemodel. That's positive vibe.
He was the first to share that Sainz was going to Williams
