I left the United States and I'm living in Vietnam and then Thailand and I will continue to live and explore Southeast Asia for the foreseeable future. I'm documenting some of that here and I hope it is at least interesting and that the information is helpful to anyone interested in retiring here or long-term travel or "slow travelling" and encourages people to travel and not fear it but to embrace the journey.
I document my travel through photography in my gallery. Art from life and travels in Southeast Asia. High-quality, frameless, textured canvas prints ready to hang. Upgrade your spaces and show your love of travel and appreciation for art. Shipping is from the USA globally.

6 Months In DaNang, Vietnam - reupload
I've learned a lot since I've been living in Da Nang. It's an easy place to be and offers plenty of activities; dining, night life and tourist attractions. It's a great place to stay for the long-term or just to visit for a couple of days depending on the time you have available.

Dining In DaNang

There are more food options here than I can really cover in a video but I’ve tried to get to a variety of places to give a bit of an overview from small, local restaurants featuring Vietnamese food to western-style food. Your dining choices will probably depend on how much time you'll spend in DaNang but I hope you have the opportunity to try a bit of everything when you're here. Buy me a coffe...

Aluckylife116 I think so too. Thanks for commenting.
Oh the bloody music 🤯

are there markets or stands that sell fruit and veggies without pesticides?
@i-love-tacos-everyday thanks for commenting and good question. I knov that pesticides are widely used in Vietnam on many crops, rice especially and we can assume on other crops. I know of no non-pesticide produce markets here.
Great video. That’s one for me to share with friends. So glad you showed Marble Mountain, I’ll visit there next time. There in 2024, back again mid Feb 2025. Great Country, People and Culture
@andrew.beach6079 Thanks for the comment. You'll enjoy the Marble Mountains.
So why do you leave Da Nang for Thailand? I didnt get this point..
Hey @kowalskik.1333 I'm spending my time travelling all over SE Asia. I started here in Vietnam and now I'm heading to Bangkok from where I'll travel in Thailand. That's the reason. I commited to a lease here for 6 months and that's up and I want to live in Thailand for a time. Thanks for commenting.
Nice video thanks. Have you considered buying a place there? Could you see yourself living there full time?
I have considered buying but not in Vietnam. th long term VISA is a challenge. I'm targeting Thailand and I'm considering a bunch of options including a home made from shipping containers. They're cheap, nice and you can put them anywhere. That will be well in to the future though. I have a lot of ground to cover. It will make a nice video though. Thanks or your comment.
@ Not sure I could live there forever, but I am considering buying a condo there and spending several months a year there. I think it is a great investment and I love Danang. Best of luck to you
Subscribed. That was one (if not the best), informative vids I've seen on DaNang. Keep 'em coming.
Hey @dennisstoichkov8233 thank you. I appreciate the encouragement.
Do you have any concerns that the cheap medication’s are fake?
That's a great question @randyxray and I didn't think of it until now. when i went to the pharmacy, they are all over here, I had no worries. All of the prescription meds and others I saw have the same kind of packaging you're used to seeing with company logos and warnings, etc. The pharmacists are professional and very helpful. I "researched" buying the meds I needed prior to visiting the pharmacy so I had little concern really. For example Accutane is an anti-acne drug that you can get in the USA through your dermatoligist. It's expensive and they give you the high dose (so everyone can charge more money) but here you can buy if off the shelf...you do have to ask for it... and it's the same med you get in the USA. It's at a lower dose to avoid potential liver damage which is the concern with the higher dose. It's under $20 here. So I'd just recommend that people be well read on the Rx they need, review it well and ask the pharmacist some questions. Thanks for asking about this.
Hello Ronin, I'm moving to DN next month after you depart .... Please forward your apartment building name or address please .... I appreciate it
@PatrickSweetser apartment building is on Tran Bach Dang. I think you can find a nicer option however so look at a lot of them when you arrive. Check “apartments for rent in Da Nang” Facebook group. Agents will jump on you but lots of pics there.
nice graphics and editing. intriguing. HEY! IM ONE OF YOUR NEARLY SUBSCRIBERS! I looked my ticket for May 10th 2025. So like you I am getting rid of "it all"! LOL and away we go!
@empiricalman cool! It's a little scary when you walk out the door for the last time but so worth it. I'm here and doing fine. I hope the best for you and thanks for the sub.

Tip: Turn down the music a bit on the next one as it was difficult to hear your voice. But good vibe!
Good feedback @TheNalimo....thank you!
I echo the above. Really visually appealing but I am 56 seconds in and hard to focus on what you are saying
