@@inkkSUNA Yup, imo the idea of the constantly "stoic, expressionless man" is way too romanticised... To an unhealthy degree sometimes. Even if someone looks "serious" most of the time (I mean, one can simply have a resting glaring face haha it happens), a guy whose eyes and smile turns unabashedly soft and kind at the sight of something precious/cute/beautiful is way more attractive, to me at least. It feels like they are more in tune with and accepting of themselves and the things they love, and aren't afraid of showing so even if others comment on it, which in itself is a very emotionally mature trait. As a very wise old man once said, "When I became a man I put away childish things, including the fear of childishness and the desire to be/look very grown up." In a world like ours, being able to feel the softness, the giddiness, the wonder of a child and express it as an adult is such a rare trait. One that is oft trampled to death by boredom and the endless toil of life. One should never be ashamed of it, or shamed for it. It just may be one of the greatest sources of daily strength a person can have, the ability to find such honest joy in small things. Being able to express that joy unafraid is a balm for one's mental health. I wholeheartedly encourage it if people seem shy about being emotional around me. It's very gratifying to let them be free.
