One Of Them Days - Movie Review
It's my day off, and what better way to spend your evening (even if its -20) outside, than at the movie theatre after a long 4 days of working evening shifts. And, to top it off, One of Them Days, is actually a funny buddy comedy movie too, AND, its only 90 minutes long, am I dreaming?? What a great way to finish off a day off. I enjoyed myself, the audience did as well, I would suggest you go see it on a cheap night with your crew, I don't think you will be disappointed, and be ready for some genuine belly laughs too.

Queen of the Ring - Trailer Reaction

Well, well, well, a movie I am 100% going to see without ever needing to see a trailer. I gotta admit Queen of the Ring is in my wheelhouse, I've been into Pro Wrestling since I was a child, and I'm still into it to some degree today, I watch it, I do commentary (im not the greatest at it, but I love it.) and, this movie looks like its going to be a very specific part of American history and th...

Maybe I set myself up with a little too much January action movie hype, or I was just excited to see Donnie and Nick go at it once again and continue from where they left off. I don't know, but I was, a little disappointed with what I saw, Donnie just didn't seem as cool or as smart as he was in the first film, he was blind sided way too many times, and how can you trust nick that easily... I d...
Wolf Man - Movie Review

So, I went and saw Wolf Man opening weekend because I was already at the theatre to see two other movies, and it just happened to work out that I could fit in the Wolf Man movie IMAX screening. So, I said, what the heck why not, I worked all week, its pay day, lets just treat ourselves to a full day of cinema with my dawg. I gotta say, honestly, this isn't a good movie or great movie, its just ...

Anytime a new Donnie Yen project comes up, I am instantly onboard, my wallet is ready, and I'm going to text my dawg and get him ready to go to the movies with me to watch some kung-fu action. Now, I'm not too sure if I missed the boat on this movie, because I haven't seen a single poster for it on the cineplex website, so maybe it came out only in Toronto??? I do not know, so if I missed this,...

Now, I am pretty sure I have seen the Monkey trailer in the theatre a while back, probably when I saw Nosferatu on boxing day, and at that time I wasn't paying real attention to the trailers, I was talking to my dawg, and shoveling popcorn in my face. So, to see that a new official red band trailer for the Monkey has dropped recently, my curiosity was peeked, and I gotta say this trailer has me...

As I was working on the trailer review for Alto Knights it was brought to my attention that Disney just dropped the official trailer for Daredevil Born Again. So, I had to take a minute to see whats up, and too my surprise, it looks like we might have a fun time in Hell's Kitchen after all. But, lately with Disney Marvel content, I'm always going to be a little skeptical since their track recor...

The Alto Knights was brought to my attention last night, but I was busy at work in a super cold hockey arena, making dope ice for the boys to play on. It was -18 outside, and it was even colder inside, it was one of those nights where I wish I had worn some thermal longjohns, but, I made it through the night. Sorry, I went on a tangent there, man, Alto Knights is looking like a damn good Mobste...

Now that my UA-cam algorithm is dialed in, its sending me all kinds of movie trailers, and this one caught my eye because of Steven Yuen. I don't know what it is about this actor, but I've been a fan of his since Walking Dead, he got that aura about him, anyways. Love Me, looks like an interesting sci-fi romance between two A.Is who create their own simulation so they can be in love in "real li...
Better Man - Movie Review No Spoilers

It's nice to be back in the movie theatres after a long 3 week break, honestly I haven't seen a movie since Nosferatu on Boxing Day, and I've been jonsing to go to the theatre to see something. So, I went and saw BETTER MAN, and it was surprisingly better than I was expecting, the musical numbers are really well done and standout, some of the effects are really amazing, and the story of his lif...

I was just doing a little doom scrolling on my day off today, when the trailer for One Of Them Days appeared, and I was like, "Hold up, we gotta react to this one." and yes, I haven't seen anything about this movie until today, and it got me wondering if the algorithms for trailers are keeping certain movies away from my eyes? That would be weird if that is the case, cause shouldn't all movies ...

Once again the comments section sends me a new trailer to review/react to, and this movie, Alarum, is a rare bird in the movie trailer business. I think its cut horribly, its too long, the movie looks confusing, and cheap, all downsides, but there is a glimmer of hope and that is the action sequences might be pretty good... might be. I feel like this movie is going to be unfortunately for me st...

Nosferatu - Was That it? Movie Review
I'm going to skip this one. There's just nothing here that I'm passionate about.
I think if you like pro wrestling and the history of wrestling, this will be a good movie for that specific niche person. Maybe, you'll stream it on netflix, after my review. 😊
I'm kind of shocked that Hollywood is still making period Pieces. Audiences simply don't show up for this stuff.
The Iron Claws box office gross was $45 million, with a $15 million budget. That story is about a well known family in wrestling, so I think this film will maybe do $25 to $35 million total. It's an period piece about an unknown, but maybe I will be wrong. I hope I am, and period pieces in 2025 are a tough sell for today's audience, for some reason.
@@popcornbeard I hear where you're coming from, but frankly A24 is considered a awards darling or art House horror. They're not considered a powerhouse from the commercial perspective.
@JScottGaribay i totally agree with you, but, I'm just pulling that example cause it is the most recent wrestling film we got. So, you do bring a good point though, A24 comes with a dedicated fan base that will see almost anything they put out.
Thanks for your comment about the bloopers at the end. That makes sense and I think a lot of other people would have liked that too. I actually don't like bloopers at the end of any movie. And the reason why is it takes me out. It kind of reminds me that it's a movie rather than the powerful story I just saw.
The tight 90 minutes. You are spot on correct. Refreshing. Love it. Wish more movies could do good stuff in this short length.
I love this movie so much. It was so funny. I thought Katt Williams was fantastic. I thought Keke Palmer was fantastic. I think Sza was fantastic. I love this movie.
If I'm not wrong, I heard that this movie is 100% rotten tomatoes.
Currently sitting at 97% critic and 92% audience, which is pretty good for a buddy comedy movie.
@popcornbeard yeah. I hope companion does the same
Im a massive Wolf Man fan, as in the original movie from the 40s. Its my number one monster movie and with that said, there were things i did like about the movie...however it missed the mark for me overall. I wished for an even more tragic werewolf film, a much stronger one. Idk if youve seen a movie called "Blue Ruin", but i so want a movie with that level of bleakness mixed with werewolf lore. It fits the dismalness of someone afflicted by the curse.
Looks scary
Are you going to see it?
@popcornbeard would love to
We need a good comedy movie these days. I agree.
I'm going to probably try and see this film some time next week. I'm always down for a good laugh or two.
I actually really liked this movie. It reminded me a lot with in a violent nature but this time with a werewolf.
I have never seen that movie. But, i feel like they missed the hallmarks of telling a good werewolf story. It has some decent elements that I thought were cool, but, the story needed work, and i think there was a better story to be told with more father v. Son elements. There wasn't even a single shot a full moon, like come on. 😊
@popcornbeard ikr and the weird thing is, they don't even come out till dark not morning so that for sure didn't make any sense but I still liked the movie.
Yah, I think a little work on the lore would have gone a long way, and for being an R rated movie, it was really tame on the kills, almost everything happens off camera. A classic Blumhouse move.
This movie 100% gives me the final destination vibes but controlled by the monkey. You should react to until dawn and yes they finally made a movie from the game. It's completely different though but the one actor is in the movie that was also in the game.
Yeah, I can see where you get that vibe from. I think Stephen King wrote this short story back in the 80s, and this concept has been adapted so many times now. But, it's always a fun time if the kills are fun and creep you out. Like we all can't forget that damn Logging Truck scene... it's burned in our memory for life. Hahaha. 😊
Well, it just scared the hell out of me!
Are you gonna go see it this weekend?
I feel like this Blumhouse movie will for sure go great. There's so many new movie trailers that dropped and I'll start off with the monkey that is by Osgood Perkins and the book from Stephen King.
You're my Blumhouse guy, he's burned me way too many times. So I don't trust that studio and what they put out anymore. Really, they just make soft core tension horror films, and they do all the cool kills off camera... and im going to a horror film for kills and thrills, a story is a bonus. 😊
@popcornbeard the only Blumhouse movie that will never fail us is Halloween
I think. Vincent D'Onofrio is carrying a lot of weight here with his kingpin. I think he's a huge draw and I cannot wait to see what he does in this show. I'm there day one If I have Disney Plus at the time. I currently have it but I have it on a great deal I got at one point. And Disney plus is definitely one of those channels where I only have it when I can get a ridiculously good deal on it. It's one of those channels I churn.
I really do enjoy Vincent as Kingpin, I think out of the Disney plus stuff his best work so far was in Hawkeye. So, I'm ready to see the netflix version of kingpin return to the screen. Punisher is my fav and Luke cage so I hope Mike Colter comes back as well. But, let's not get too excited, Disney Marvel hasn't had the best track record with shows lately. 😊
It's a little bit of a side note but it's connected. So I'm a huge fan of Dungeons & Dragons and it's the primary focus of my youtube channel. So Deborah Ann Woll is going to be reprising her role in Daredevil born again as Karen page. Deborah Ann Woll is the single best female dungeon master in the world and she has actually worked directly with the Dungeons And Dragons company creating content for them. I wish they had put her in the trailer more. I'm not sure she's in there at all. I guess they wanted to stay focused on the main characters. I understand that but I really would have liked to seen her in there. Also. I'm super excited to see her reprise the role.
She was in the trailer for a blip, and yah, I heard she was a big dnd nerd, I didn't know she was that big in the community. I personally only played it a handful of times, and I never really got into it. But, I appreciate all the lore and work that has gone into the franchise, I used to read like dragonlance and forgotten realms novels in my teens. Love all that fantasy stuff.
Yeah this is really wild to see this coming. It's really odd to see an up and running streaming service continuing something that was done on another streaming service. Especially with the considerable Gap.
I'm sure this has happened before. But this is the first time I think Disney has ever just continued a project that they didn't start... and im kinda glad that they redid their original plan, because I think we where gonna get a really lame season of Daredevil if She Hulk and Echo are the benchmark at the time. So, I'm skeptical, but, also interested and hopeful that the show turns out to be at least half as good as the netflix run. So here's hoping.
Fantastic reaction. I can tell you were very excited. I am too. Thank you.
I am excited for the return of a gritty daredevil, now, I have to be a little reserve cause it's disney and they aren't the best with gritty, and the last time we saw Daredevil he was a naughty boy with She Hulk which was a big swing and a miss with fans.
I signed up to Netflix only because I wanted to watch Daredevil. I was NOT dissapointed. It was fantastic. I also liked the Punisher, Luke Cage and Iron Fist. So glad they brought back the same guy to play DD, and of course Kingpin!
I really enjoyed the Daredevil series on Netflix too, as well as Punisher and Luke Cage. I thought Jessica Jones was okay, sometimes a little boring, and I just could not get into the Iron Fist series at all. I think my favorite out of them all was the Punisher series, I think they just nailed Frank Castle. I think this new series has really big boots to fill, so I am optimistic, but also onboard to see what Disney is willing to do to fill'em.
Hell yeah! Great video. Rewatch of past seasons is not a bad idea. Disney better not mess this up.
Yah, I think a lot of Disney Marvel fans are holding on to this series as the last straw. If they miss the mark, I think Disney is going to have a hard time until at least Fantastic Four drops. I think the fan base is tired of The Avengers, and FF will be a breath of fresh air. Can't wait to see what Disney will do with Daredevil Born Again... like they re-did the whole series after She Hulk and various other projects tanked... so lets see!
I would've watched this if I did had Disney+ but I don't. Also I really don't read the comics to these superheroes, villains, and anti heroes so I'll be so stupid to not know most of these guys. Movies and tv shows are better than the books. There's this new cool looking movie trailer that camed out not that long ago called Renner, it has Frankie Muniz in the movie and I haven't seen him in a movie for a long time and I'm glad he's back.
Well, if i can make a suggestion, and if you have Netflix, I would recommend the Daredevil series there. Its freaking awesome, that is if you haven't seen it yet, and I am not even sure if Netflix still has the series in their library, but if they do, check it out, and enjoy. I will check out this Renner trailer soon, I thought Frankie Muniz just retired from hollywood in general, I can't remember the last movie he actually stared in.
@popcornbeard I believe the last movie he played in was I think the black string
Mob movies always goes great. There's also another kids movie trailer that you should react and that one is called Dog Man. Dog Man is based off of a graphic novel book that brought us captain underpants and not gonna lie, Dog Man is way better than captain underpants.
Who doesn't love a good mob movie. I think the only problem is, its 2025, and I think todays audience just doesnt care about mobsters like my generation did. So I think it could be a tough sell to get butts in seats. Robert De Niro will definitly draw an audience, but I don't think this movie is gonna bring in more that 250 million, at best. I will check out Dog Man soon as well, thanks for the trailer suggestions dawg. :)
@@popcornbeard I'm sorry if I have been sending you so many trailer suggestions, I'm a huge movie fan as you can see lol. I really like seeing how youtubers react to these movie trailers cause I want to see if me and them have the same opinion about what we think.
Do not apologize my dawg. I really do appreciate the suggestions, because I'm always looking for new movie trailers to react too. And, I am also a big movie fan as well. This whole channel is for people like us, movie fans, who have to spend real dollars to go and see these films. :) So keep the suggestions coming. :)
@@popcornbeard yeah, I just had to say it cause most of these youtubers do take it seriously so if that did happen I just wanted to say it before it goes off hand. You're really a good youtuber
@ Thanks dawg, just don't get upset if I happen to miss a suggestion, because there are tons of movies, and I do work a full time job. So, I get to them as quick as I can, and sometimes certain trailers gotta take priority, etc. But, I'm always gonna try and make it happen. :D We are a community here.
Another great reaction! You have got to review the new Daredevil TV season trailer!
It's in the chamber dawg. I'm going to drop it later tonight.
I really like Kristen Stewart but I also feel like her whole team has failed her, like her publicist, whoever dresses her, whoever coaches her for her acting, like her entire team has failed her.
You're not wrong there.
I'm a really big fan of Steven Yeun. I think I'm all in on anything he makes after what I saw him do in Nope!
Yeah. Steven has reached that level where I will probably see anything the guy is involved in. I hope he lands a bigger profile movie, maybe something for Warner Bros DC universe?
This movie is weird to me. I'll might give it a go when it streams. The movie is gonna come out till January 31st. This movie also gives me the vibes from the game the sims.
Right. This whole movie is just weird, which is probably why I'm a little interested in it. It's not listed for any showtime on the cineplex website, so I dont think it's coming here any time soon. The whole Sims thing just screams Microsoft character creation etc. So weird, dawg
@popcornbeard there's also a new Blumhouse movie trailer and that is called The Woman in the Yard.
@@theodorecollard6518 I will check that trailer out soon. I just got Alto Knights coming out and I see Dare Devil just dropped a trailer as well.... busy week of trailers.
I actually really like this movie. I really loved his story and I do feel bad for him cause it is hard to go through what he has been going through.
I really liked this movie as well. I thought they really took good care to blend in his popular songs with some great dance choreography, and it never really made those sequences feel out of place. The movie really just trucked along, and I was engaged the whole time, I think they took a lot of the elements from the Elton John Biopic and ramped them up in this movie... also I really appreciated that they didn't hold back when it came to his drug use, partying, booze, women and men, like he laid it all out there in a really well told story. I was entertained.
@@popcornbeard yeah, I'm assuming there's not gonna be a lot of good reviews to this movie cause there's some lgbt moments there with the men.
Enjoy your day off!
Thanks Dawg, I have so far, I went to the movies. I went and saw Better Man, and now a review is in the works.
2023 No Hard Feelings - I loved that film.
It wasn't too bad, gezz, now I'm drawing a blank when it comes to any comedy movies that came out in 2024.
That is the Principal from the Abbott Elementary. She is very funny.
I think the white girl is Judd Apatows daughter.
I had to look it up, and you are correct it is Maude Apatow.
@popcornbeard Bingo!
I am hyped for this movie - Keke Palmer, Kat Williams. Yup, I am in. Kat Williams is funny even in a few seconds.
Katt some how stole the whole trailer, got me more interested in the movie, and he's only in it for a few seconds. That's how you move movie tickets.
I think you are wrong about the intros at the start! I am a huge fan of Keke Palmer (specifically from Nope) and when they say who it stars at the beginning I think it makes fans perk up and immediately pay attention to the trailer. Without it people don't know to pay attention.
I think that intro has a time and place, and that place is in the movie theatre. Like, they used to have those type of cold opens always when we are in the theatres to get us to pay attention to the trailers and to get us ready for the movie as well. I just don't think it translates as well to the UA-cam experience.
Great Reaction Video! Thank you.
Yah welcome dawg
To keep up with the Comedy going, you should react to the trailer of The Bad Guys 2, and yes that movie is a kids movie but it's really good to see the bad guys again.
I never watched the first Bad Guys, some how i missed it. I'll take a gander at the trailer for part 2.
@@popcornbeard The Bad Guys is based off a book and the movie represents that.
I've never heard you comment so much about a movie trailer lol. But yeah, this movie is really weird but interesting at the same time. I'll might not watch this in theaters but when it comes out on streaming I'll give it a go. Also have you seen the trailer of From the world of John Wick: Ballerina yet?
Yah. I saw the time for this trailer, and i was like "damn, 9 minites for Alarum trailer, i musta went off." For some reason, i just felt like this trailer needed some editing notes, and sometimes I get a little yappie when I get in the editor zone. This movie will definitely be a streamer, and I know im gonna fall asleep watching it, just like Rebel Ridge.
Just finished it. Epic show. Gritty n raw. Acting n writing is top notch. Too bad it's only 1 season.
I am currently two episodes into the series and I'm really enjoying it so far. I'm watching it slowly, one ep a night if I can, it's really tense, like a powder keg is about to explode and it's super interesting. Im really invested in this point of american history, I might have to get some books on it and do a deeper dive.
Reaction Request! 2025 Love Hurts, please!
I reviewed the love hurts trailer I think 4 days ago now. It has the potential to be a fun date night movie.
Fantastic reaction video. Thank you!
Your welcome dawg. I feel like I'm bringing attention to movies no one has ever heard of.
@@popcornbeard very much the case. I did not even know this existed before your reaction video.
Your take on Milla jovajovich is spot on.
All hail the B Movie Queen. May she keep making us Schlock for many years to come.
Is it just me that this movie gives me Mad Max vibes
100% it has so many elements going on in this film. I am surprised we still get weird movies like this in 2025.
I'm an Ex-Mormon from Utah, so I'm going to have to restart my Netflix subscription for a month just to watch this show, lol. 😂 I'm suprised that there aren't more movies and shows about the Utah War of 1857, it's an incredibly interesting part of American history that most people know nothing about. The only other thing I can think of that took place during it was the movie September Dawn, which was pretty horrible. Terrence Stamp (the guy who played General Zod is Superman 2) played Brigham Young in it, which is horrible casting.
I'm 45, and in my brain I remember a movie that touched on the Mormons v. indigenous and I remember nothing about it. But, I remember thinking, "Oh, I didn't know the Mormons, had a violet history like that." Now, fast forward to today, I totally forgot all about it until I started watching this series (I'm only done episode 1) and I was like "OHHHHH We gonna talk about this stuff now, I'm really invested now." Thanks for bringing up the Utah War of 1857 btw, I'm going to start reading about that soon. I am currently deep in Canadian history right now, trying to just learn more. :) I'm probably going to do a review about this series whenever I finish it, I'm not binge watching it because I want to enjoy each episode. :)
Definitely have to watch. Great reaction video
Thanks for the comment, I can't wait to watch this film as well. 😊
This movie for sure gives me all of those vibes that you mentioned. It also does have that beekeeper vibes as well cause like he's doing it for revenge. There's this trailer that stars Scott Eastwood and Sylvester Stallone that will be coming out till January 17 and it's called Alarum.
I will check that trailer out for sure, and the movie is very Beekeeprr vibes which makes sense since Ayer directed Beekeeper as well. Can't wait to see it. 😊
@@popcornbeard I watched Better Man in theaters on the 10th and it was funny and so many unexpected things that I would never see it coming. I loved the story of Robbie Williams. There's probably not gonna be a lot of good reviews of the movie cause ik a lot of people don't like lgbt type of movies even if there wasn't no sexual content at all.
I liked the teaser trailer of this movie cause this trailer really ruined it for me, I was not expecting this trailer to spoil that she was a robot this whole time. There's this new trailer that just comed out that I was waiting for this year and you should react to it. It's called A Working Man.
I think the movie, regardless of the trailer spoiling the reveal, still looks like a really good time. I will definitely see it whenever it gets released here, cause I haven't seen any posters up at my theater for this film yet.
@popcornbeard same here but I've been getting the teaser trailer of it on the big screen every week when there's a new movie out lol.
Jack Quaid on a roll!
He is going to have a very busy 2025. Novocaine, Companion, and I think the final season of thr Boys too.
@@popcornbeard I never saw a single episode of The Boys. I genuinely love comic books and find the Anti-Hero/Evil Hero schtick upsetting personally. Just not a show I can get into.
I just finished all six seaons of What We Do In the Shadows - and then immediately started a rewatch. I LOVE that show.
I love the show and the movie. I've watched it too many times. I watch that show like people regularly watch the Office.
