We use the T1000 on an active range for our 22LR hits on a gong at 385m, with all the other large caliber stuff going on, no other way to confirm hits.

will this work on a laptop ?

Just got a Sporter model and love it. Easy to operate and easy to carry in my reg. carry bag. One tip place a small piece of velcro (female side) on the nylon strap where it fits on the barrel just for additional tightness. Some owners said their Magnedo moved when installed on a stainless steel barrel.

How do you delete a series? Please tell us how to use all features of the display.

Handy. The csv file is much more convenient than typing the data into a spread sheet. I send summaries of each string to an email. Its also more convenient to change settings and clear the device using the phone interface.

Could you do a video on setting up with the app please?

Really, really want one, BUT my main reason for getting one is to check the MV of factory ammo against reloads, on a Ruger Precision 300PRC. The muzzle break on the 300PRC RPR is 3.5". Any chance of MagnetoSpeed creating a Sportster that will fit a large muzzle break, or at least an adaptor that will allow the current model to fit my gun? I can get a Cauldwell Chronograph, but I shoot at a public range and do not want to have go through the trouble of setting one up between "hot" segments. I can also remove my muzzle break, but that is kinda a pain in itself. Besides I do not want to measure MV with the rifle configured in a way that I do not normally shoot. Please create an affordable model that will fit large "tanker" style breaks. Thanks.

I love Magnetospeed products ( I have the chrono and 2 x T1000s), but I have to say that this is the worst, most unprofessional product instruction video I have ever seen. My 7 year old grand daughter could put together a better promo video than this. For crying out loud, pay a few bucks and hire a professional.

What device do I need to load the file onto the card from the computer/website? And also what is the cord connected to on the other end?

Just received my V3 can’t wait to start finding out what my loads velocities truly are. I believe this is going to improve my ammo overall. I hope I use my V3 enough to really become familiar with how the system works. If I’m using it enough to be very familiar with the system that means I’m shooting quit a bit and that a good thing in my opinion.

Excellent! I handload for hunting up here in Alaska and have been impressed with the Sporter. Simple, but all the information I need for my hand loading. I record the Sporter information in my hand loading log book along with brass information, powder, bullet, etc.

Does this work with android phones

Had to use the "Slow Upgrade" mode to get the fw.hex file to successfully upgrade the firmware to 3.0.03 version.

Super easy to do. 1. Download the 'fw.hex' file from the Magneto Speed website at cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0150/8926/files/fw.hex? 2. Copy/paste file onto the micro sd card via your pc/laptop. 3. Eject the SD card from your pc/laptop once the file is loaded. 4. Now insert the SD card into the V3. 5. Press and hold the enter button on the V3. 6. Now insert the bayonet/jack fitting 'BOOTLOADER' appears on the screen. 7. Screen also says 'release enter button'... DONE. The V3 then progresses the update. By way of time, it took less time to type this than it did it to load - it finished before this message did. Have just updated to V3.0.03 (no I don't know what this does..). The V3 is an investment, but a worthwhile one. I reload and shoot out to 1600yds, having reliable velocity data saves me time and money on the range ultimately. Happy shooting.

as a non savvy computer person ,..can anyone tell me what I have to do with the micro SD card to get firm ware off the site to the card. They dont much other than aim fw.hex at the card . I had problems trying to open the hex file with the link they sent.

Just bought one, love it!! Suggestion: Red vs. Yellow for hit/near-miss is too hard to distinguish. Also red is hard to see in fall foliage. If you are to make one that's Blue LED for hit, and red for miss, I would buy two more right now! (Or better yet, make the LED modules interchangeable so users can switch color as needed...)
