It's probably more like 172 ornaments a day considering you can prepare the next files while the current ones are cutting at the same time for a 10 hour work day.

Good and instructive video, but in the last attempt you could do the following: In your video you can see that the laser is too far from the material (the focus is not well adjusted and the beam is wider in contact with the material and therefore the cut is wider and it is harder to penetrate the material) If you approach the laser material the laser will cut the material in 2 passes. I think you are already in the next videos be more successful, good luck.

I use a K40 every single day for research purposes and this intrigued me, I am struggling to see how so many paw prints of the size he is showing sanded could be produced on a standard K40 from one sheet of ply? The scale in Inkscape is way larger than the K40 standard bed. Are you certain your K40 has not had the bed increased? The laser head plate as far as I can see is a modified version, the head itself not so, but the drag chain yes. Personally I think the claims of selling 120 a day are exaggerated based on what a K40 can actually produce, even on eBay and Etsy this sort of bling goes from 4gbp not 8.60 gbp theres no proof or evidence that he's selling this many and if he was I am sure the Inland revenue would be interested in seeing his accounts. All he is saying how many he can produce on a 10 hour day, he's not provided anything to show you he's selling 1000 per day. You would also need refrigeration systems in place as after 3 hours continuous lasering it will increase the water temperature by at least 5 degrees if not more from my research. The kerf you are creating is also way too big as your items actually drops out, this shows that the laser beam is too thick, you should aim for a finer cut and use the "tap" method to remove them. Works much better and you dont end up with a black hand after handling from the carbon on the side. You would also be replacing the tube once a month based on those figures on a average lifespan of 1000 hours @ 8 hours per day usage. On a good day in the christmas and other festive holidays you might sell a few dozen a week but 120 per day is just pie in the ky wishful thinking. I belong to several K40 groups and in particular a specialist unit where there are 8 K40s working all day long to produce items for the seasonal holidays and while they do sell a lot as they have online shops everywhere and supply to other people they dont reach the 1000 GBP a day on one K40.

What settings did you use for the laser setting and speed ??

if you cover your plywood with masking tape or painter's tape and then cut it, you won't have to sand it to get the scorch marks off. Just peel off the masking tape and you have clean wood.
