I wanted to see whether the Novavax vaccine has more mild side effects than the Moderna mRNA vaccine, so I got the Novavax vaccine last week. I was happy to experience that for me, Novavax was much milder. It caused much lower fatigue (basically none) and no feeling of malaise at all. I will probably keep opting for the Novavax in the future because for me personally, I found it was definitely less reactogenic. Good luck to everyone as you pick your preferred Covid-19 vaccines. Thanks to Katherine and Dr. Murphy for bringing us these frequent and helpful updates! Much appreciated to have reliable and objective medical insights!

Why are athletes in the Olympics, who have tested positive for covid, allowed to participate. Is this variant less dangerous? Also, what does this mean for further spread and the variant possibly mutating ?

Regarding the England data: it clearly goes against the increasing public sentiment that the vaccines are an apparent cause of cardiovascular events. It would be good to both have the data reassessed by an independent researcher as well as bring the study forward to 2023 data.

Looks to me you have bells palsy, you know how I know that? Because I had it when I was a kid, I got it from a vaccination I received as a kid. I very been struggling with muscle fatigue on my right of my body ever since. I walk with a limp because of it. Did you get yours from a vaccine. I bet you did. You should be ashamed of yourselves.

How come some immunizations for some viruses, like polio and measles last a lifetime and some do not?. How come those viruses didn't mutate like covid? Do some mRNA vaccinations for viruses last a lifetime?

Thank you both for communicating clearly up to date, truthful information regarding infectious diseases. I as the spouse of a, -kidney SOT patient (2008) who then underwent open heart surgery (2019) resulting in serious lung complications that resolved with extended medical care & rehab-, should/ can I get the Spring Coronavirus vaccine even though I’m healthy & just about to turn 61 ? I know vaccinated people can come down with covid, isn’t that risk reduced by vaccination or alternatively if sick, perhaps a lesser duration which may limit spread to my ill husband. (Now suffering from adema. ) Over the past 4 years we’ve practiced mitigation by vaccination, filtration (surgical then N95 masks) and ventilation along with reduced travel & no indoor dining. We’ve been successful thus far, but I’m unsure if I should press for the spring booster if I’m denied. Any advice would be welcomed. Thank you so much for all that you do to help the public. 👏🙏🏻

Very disappointed with the new guidelines. Personally, I'm going to wear my mask in stores all during flu/virus season.
