Huge thanks to PostmasterGS creator of germanstamps.net for letting me use his album page template. Also to those that have a keen eye you might be able to recognize the Minkus album page border I use for my Canada album I custom made it by drawing it over a picture I took of the album I can share it with whoever wants it just let me know via comments / DMs

Microsoft 365: www.office.com
Download the template:

Your C-11 “Airplane Cancel” is considered an early “Slogan Cancel”. There are several varieties of this particular bi-plane cancellation… There is also a “Monoplane” ‘Slogan Cancel’ during this era to help promote Air Mail usage! Excellent presentation and explanation of Air Mail Stamp History!

1:14 You may find it interesting to learn that Franz Joseph was not the last monarch of Austria-Hungary. His nephew, Charles (Karl) succeeded him after his death, and reigned for two years, until the end of WW1. Kudos on getting his title right, though. Most people would say "Emperor of Austria-Hungary", but you correctly understood that Austria-Hungary was not an empire; Austria was an empire, and Hungary was a kingdom. To make it more complicated, whereas Bohemia was a kingdom, too, it was part of the Austrian empire, unlike the kingdom of Hungary, which was not. Franz Joseph and Charles held yet another title, namely King of Jerusalem, despite that land being owned by the Ottomans. They did, however, issue postage stamps for Jerusalem, denominated in Ottoman currency, but featuring the head of Franz Joseph. Those stmps were postally valid and recognised by the Ottomans.

Thank you for a great video! Just a note for those who may be having issues downloading and uploading the template (which for some reason I am) you can go into Powerpoint, click on design, then select Slide Size, Chose custom Slide Size and then you can choose A4 portrait or whatever size you want.

I like this video a lot. I collect World War 2 topical stamps, stamps issued during the WW2 era and Third Reich Stamps. From the stamps featured in this video I only have one in my collection (the one with the memorial monument). But thanks to this video, I now have the interest in adding all of the other stamps to my collection, in order to commemorate this sad but patriotic story.

I loved your video. It came to solve one of my most important questions: what to use to make my album pages. I use PowerPoint almost daily to prepare the presentations for the Humanities classes I teach. But I'd never thought it would be the perfect solution for preparing my album pages. I was thinking about Word, but I'd rather prefer PowerPoint too. Thanks a lot for this great information. Greetings from Puerto Rico.

Hello Very interesting your video, what I liked most indicate the type of paper to use and where you mention that it can be done with PowerPoint, do you have a video tutorial on how to do it?

Very well done video. Your research into the postal history you present is really refreshing coming from someone who is as young as you appear to be.....and you present it very succinctly given the length of your video. Great job! I'm hooked!

Great video. I like the side by side paper comparison. I agree with you that the real effort is deciding how you want your pages to look. The tools are quick once you decide. 😊 I use albumEasy these days, but my first ever pages were made in Visio, Microsoft's former flowcharting too. I agree that Powerpoint has all you need, once you find the 5 or 6 commands that you'll use over and over.

Great video! I've just ordered my first stamps, stock book and tweezers the other night. This already has me thinking about how I show what I have tentative plans to collect. Great production on the video as well. Sounds levels perfect, the graphics and information they provide exactly what needed, and none of this too busy while still holding attention.

Thank you for a great and informative video, Michael! Your album pages really are beautiful and those binders are beautiful as well. It was nice to see that you use PowerPoint for laying out your pages and printing them. I will most probably go that route as well after seeing your video. You explained very well, and gave all the important information. PS: one can also remove the background using Powerpoint, but you probably know that. I guess it is easier and more accurate in Paint. Thanks again!

Great to see an obviously talented and young man using his time wisely, if I had done the same, I would have been rich!!! spent way too much time chasing women & drinking, finally sobered up at 27, started to collect coins at 40 though I've done well with coins you really need to start collecting early in life as to give the collection time to ripen.
