2024 Offseason Outlook: Russell Wilson
Anyone remember the opening of Hard Knocks? The (probably staged)slobbering fans on a bridge over the Chicago River waiving to their new savior. As I tell people.. I am not a fan- I play fantasy.
I dropped Diontae in a 12 team w/2 flex for what it's worth. Agreed, Coker? Why not. Love the "driving around without car insurance" comparison of the backup RBs. I STARTED MVS AND WON IN FI 2 LEAGUE! LFG! I agree with your Jennings>Pearsall take. Love the Caleb Williams' prayer circle :)
THIS GUY IS GREAT!!!!!!!!
We appreciate your completely objective praise, Internet stranger.
Ehh Mahomes wasn't really injured! Bum! Giving us falso hope. 😂 MHJ suffers because of the Midget Kyler.
Wilson & Williams 2024! Make Fantasy Index Dank Again!
Okay okay I see you Lukey Wilson! (49ersEmpire)
Is it time to say “ Farewell” to Whittington?
It's close to it. If you held him through the bye, you'll probably see what it's like with Kupp back, but outside of that, there are a few more names at the WR position that I like this week: Josh Downs, DeMario Douglas, and if you're RB needy, Tyrone Tracy, Sean Tucker (although I'm skeptical), Alexander Mattison, and Ray Davis
Omg, Luke is so dreamy
Wrong kind of fantasy sir.
@@FantasyFootballIndex Or the right one, amirite?
Very annoying how one guy is loud and the other is quiet.
Other than Mclaurin who would you pick as a Skins receiver?
Tough question. My official answer is gonna have to be nobody; the Commanders have seemingly deliberately assembled a cast of 'super subs' at receiver, none of whom have been asked to step up for more than a quarter or two at a time so far - and that has worked out pretty well. Through four weeks Daniels has thrown it 23-30 times a game and is not pushing the ball deep to anybody but McLaurin, and letting this group of misfit toys pitch in for 30 yards here, 45 yards there is giving the passing game a 'greater than the sum of its parts' effect. That being said, if somebody steps up that will change and Olamide Zaccheaus putting 6 catches for 85 yards in barely a quarter's worth of snaps last week in Washington's surprise beatdown of the Cardinals is easily the biggest statement any of the other guys have yet made. In a wide open passing game with an ascendant QB, he's worth a turn on waiver wires tonight. But if the Commanders win their next game or two it's also quite possible that Washington trades for reinforcements. 'Davante Adams to DC' rumors will definitely be hot and heavy for the next couple weeks...
Chris/Mac could be out till maybe week 16? I made a trade for him- giving up Chandler
Certainly hope it isn't *that* long before McCaffrey is back! But even if he winds up missing half the season, getting CMC for Chandler is an absolutely incredible heist. Very, very nicely done!!
Tank Dell was off
The results weren't what we were looking for, and seeing Diggs monopolize the short stuff made it doubly frustrating. But Dell saw downfield targets and air yards that were dead even with Nico Collins - I'm actually marking him *up* a little on what I saw from Houston in Week 1 (Luke here by the way, proud Dell skeptic).
Dumped Cooper and Hubbard.
You move fast sir! May have some seller's remorse incoming with Cooper; he's pretty resilient against crummy surroundings. But Hubbard certainly appears to be trapped in a potential repeat (or actually three-peat) disaster offense in Carolina, hard to blame anybody for hitting the ejector seat there if there were appealing alternatives available. Either way, good luck this weekend amigo!
Looking forward to the next appearance of that young intern Ian Allan sometimes soon. 😉
It's the darnedest thing: Turns out the kid's a wiz with this rankings stuff! We'll pull him back over to the podcast end of things if he cools off, but we gotta ride the hot hand here.
Great take. I've got a feeling that this post will age very well. I've got Ferguson and picked Conklin up off waivers as soon as Ferguson got injured yesterday.
Bateman take was god awful
It was indeed. Seeing Lamar Jackson both go relatively pass-happy with 41 attempts and 20 of those flowing through "backups" Isaiah Likely and Justice Hill was well outside our forecast here; I'm gonna go out on a limb and say it's been awhile since we saw a Ravens running back catch six balls in a game. Bateman did see five looks though, and managed to avert a total disaster with that nifty 37-yarder to put the Ravens on the doorstep at the end, and Lamar targeted him in the endzone on another deep ball. But no doubt about it: Likely's emergence is real, and I'm revising Bateman's targets back down.
It’s Bengals not Bangles
You play like the Bengals did this week and you're liable to get called a lot worse!
My Brother actually has an "uncle Rico" Browns Jersey.
Sounds like your brother could throw a football about a quarter mile.
Thank you
I think this dude about to break the hell out in fantasy 2024
Becoming one of my favorite podcasts!
Great Fantasy Advice! Plus pretty funny dudes as well.
Chase Brown played at Illinois in the Big 10, not in Charleston, IL for Eastern Illinois. Do your homework.
Surprised y'all didn't discuss how Derrick Henry could affect Flowers. As y'all said, they started the year run heavy last year, but threw more later. You looked at that from Flowers' perspective: as he became more comfy, coaches figured out how to use him, etc. But, you didn't analyze what happened on the OL or with the RBs getting injured, etc. If they spent money on Derrick Henry, why wouldn't we expect them to use him as much as they used their other guys in the beginning of the year last year? I think it is reasonable to expect them to, at worst, to split the difference between their heavier run focused 1st half and leliggter run focused 2nd half now that Henry is there. So, I would expect a Flowers somewhere between his 1st and 2nd half versions from last year, with a slight slanting towards the lower end.
Typo correction: their *lighter* run focused 2nd half
This new kid is pretty sharp!
Great segment gentlemen! Thank You! Question - Hope you can help. Carl Weatherford of 'CoachBox' used to draft with the Fantasy Football Index which was published in the magazine. Any idea his whereabouts? I'm going back at least a decade or so. Just curious. Great content as always.
Overqualified intern!
You're correct in your assumption of what I meant by that scoring system. Thanks for the feedback, guys!
You got it amigo, thanks for letting us weigh in!

Ep. 6: Colt & Luke Do Accents For 45 Minutes
You bastards didn't add in the defensive tackles sacks n int's in your book this year for dl's lb's and db's! Lazy lazy
Deebo at 7 and Aiyuk at 45 is incredibly ridiculous!!
Luke, I liked you more before you revealed that you are a Cowboys fan!!! Arghhhhhh!!! I am an Eagles fan so we have to dislike each other, right? LOL!!! It is all good. Me and Micah Parsons went to the same high school......albeit about 20 years apart so I wish him well. Just not when he is playing my Eagles!!! Keep up the great content with Colt!!!
Hey Colt and Luke. Great video. Really good information that I am going to use in my drafts. Keep the videos coming. I'll be watching.
Good video
Thanks bub! After Jefferson you pick the next one: Breece, AJB, Gibbs, Nacua, G-Wil or Taylor?
I've been a magazine and cheat sheet subscriber since 1989. Looking forward to seeing the channel content.
Much appreciated! We are looking forward to bringing some player dives in the weeks ahead.
Love it... could be a great sleeper
Agreed. We're assuming Zack Moss is going to lead the way in this backfield, and he very well might - but Moss is currently running around 30 picks ahead of Brown in redraft ADP right now based on pure guesswork. Definitely really like the inherent value in Brown at his current price!
In dynasty, should I trade Kyren away for a 2025 1st and 2nd, plus Javonte Williams?
That's a toughie. In a vacuum the value is on the draft picks side, and they would also diversify your risk quite nicely. But if you're in it to win it in 2024 then that has to be taken into consideration too, Kyren can definitely be the difference between a 1st and 2nd place finish come December. But if we're just talking value then I would cautiously side with the draft picks side and hope for Javonte to regain control of things in Denver. Hope this helps!
WTH? He’s going last round…
He's very underrated and now in a great situation to produce. Good video.
Great name Josh :) lol
Been back and forth but I think I’m with you. Hes going undervalued in redraft right now
Agreed. Don't really understand how people will penalize him for being in bad/inefficient Raiders offense in years past - but will give Saquon a pass for the same thing since he's going into the Eagles' offense. Don't add up!
I like the analysis but, you are a little too close to the camera. Too much face.
Will reduce face going forward - thanks Gary!
Great video here, Conklin is still 28 as well
Good stuff
Still high on him now that they got Moss?
Howdy king_kat! Yeah I’m still fairly high on him. I predicted that even with Mixon on his way out in Cincy that they’d pair somebody with Brown for 2024, and I think Zack Moss was not bad news for Brown - he wasn’t gonna see 18 carries a game yet anyway, so a guy like Moss who is coming off of a resurgent 2023 himself looks to me like basically a 50/50 split. If Brown can be as efficient as I believe he can then you definitely want to grab him in the 10th-12th in 12 team leagues this year.
actually 100% agree here with the zay against take
Thanks! If we're on the same page with the IDPC crowd then that's a good sign.
First one here from IDPC and first comment? oh yea
beat me to it
Well that ended fast 😂😂 bro will be lucky to play a game this year
It's situations like these that make us question our fantasy sports-related life choices.
I'm still seeing a ton of xavier worthy mocked to the chiefs. Will it happen?
Obviously the recent developments on Rashee Rice's availability for 2024 have thrown a wrench into forecasting how the Chiefs approach the draft. I would still lean against it at the moment; even if Rice receives a significant suspension (or worse) the Chiefs are 'Super Bowl or bust' once again this year and would seem to have the 'diminutive burner' role covered with the Hollywood Brown signing. Granted he's on a one-year deal, but if they do go wide receiver in the first three rounds I wouldn't necessarily expect them to want someone with a somewhat redundant skill set when they're trying to go make it three Lombardis in a row.
