Redneck to Tesla Owner (3 reasons I bought a Tesla) comparison
Join me on a journey from my redneck roots to owning a Tesla! In this video, I share my personal experience of transitioning from a 1993 Chevy long box extra cab to a sleek Tesla, and why I believe it's a great choice for many.
While a lot of people are buying Teslas because for environmental impact, performance, and brand appeal, that is not why I bought a Tesla. Despite initial doubts, I found three compelling reasons that led me to choose a Tesla over a conventional vehicle.
1.Low Overhead and Cost: Discover how owning a Tesla can save you money in the long run, from reduced maintenance costs to significant gas savings. Compare the upfront cost to a Toyota Camry Hybrid and see the cost-effectiveness of going electric.
2. Convenience: Learn about the hassle-free experience of owning a Tesla, from easy charging at home to seamless transactions through the Tesla app.
3. Practical Family Car: Explore the practicality of a Tesla as a family vehicle, with ample space, leather seats, and unique features that make family travel a breeze.
I also address common concerns about Tesla ownership, including range limitations for long road trips. Find out why I believe the benefits outweigh these minor drawbacks, especially for everyday driving and family use.
Whether you're a redneck car enthusiast, someone who has gone from hick to slick or simply curious about Tesla, this video offers valuable insights and personal anecdotes that may change your perspective on electric vehicles.

Milwaukee Battery Powered LED Light Rope DIY for Camping
Переглядів 99311 місяців тому
In this video I will make a DIY light rope that plugs into my Milwaukee Fuel 18v battery. I always have 18v batteries laying around so this is a great solution to use what I already have. The light rope is great for stringing through my roof top tent, laying out on a picnic table, hanging through trees while camping, or lighting up a room when the power goes out in the house. With this set up I...
Crabbing 2022 Washington State

I got a call from a good friend asking if we wanted to take the family out for an evening picnic and crabbing in the San Juan Islands. We used old salmon heads from a previous catch to bait the crab. They are bottom feeders the more stinky the better. We put in 3 pots for about 4 hrs and got about 14 crab. We are crabbing in the Bellingham area at about 60' of water. We will go over how to tell...

We will share with you guys a couple tricks on how we transitioned from a balance strider bike to a pedal bike, from strider to rider! Balance bikes are great for learning how to balance but when it comes time to ride a real bike it can be a challenge to learn how to pedal. I built a bike stand for my son to teach him how to pedal his new bike.

I enjoyed your video! Ya double buck brussel sprout launcher! Or beet launcher...I wont eat them either. I will be heading to canadian tire to buy the parts for my camp shower! Thanks✌
Hi I was wondering if you have any advice for removing the pins to remove the steer cylinder on a ts90 ? Mine is stuck! Thanks
Didnt put baffles in pipe to slow the flow of water from one end to another. Watch Eric loves Earth video for great explanation why its necessary.
İn my city its +50 celcius in summer. Water would be so hot inside yhat it will burn me when i shower:(... any auggestions?
That is super hot! I haven’t had that problem haha! How would it work to use white pvc pipe?
Did you get one single shot of the entire unit? I didn't see it. not both ends at once.
You know I think I may have a video of it working back when I built it. I’ll see if I can dig that up and post it.
@@natenesstv6685 I’m going to build my first one in a few weeks. I like your design. I’ll do a pop off valve with the white plastic and for when I need or am able, I will add a switched 12 volt hot water tank heating element as well. Thanks
The music ruins all these videos. I hope you don’t get watch credit for the few minutes I could put up with the music. Why!
This guy makes it look easy
Thanks for watching! It’s even easer to ask a buddy for help, that’s what I’ve been doing lately! Hahaha! 😆
you should have placed the spigot as close to the bottom of the tube to drain most of the water. Also, twist a quarter of a thrun of the parts joining to squeeze out any air bubbles on the joint.
I didn’t get a good shot of it but it is on the bottom that’s why I put the y in it. Thanks for the tip on the 1/4 turn! That’s a good trick!
My man! This perfect for what I was looking for. Straight and to the point, simple and easy.
Thanks for watching and your comment!
Where was the tree house? The link wasn't working for me.
I just tested the link and it seems to be working. If not just hop on Airbnb or google and search Adventure Treehouse - As featured on HGTV! Tiny home in Mt. View, Hawaii Hop that gets you there!
ty 4 that
OK so you show the whole thing how to make it and then you spent the last five minutes talking about vegetables and potato cannons how about showing some of the operation and how it works how often you have to re-pressurize it how many gallons it is…🥱
I’ll see if I can go back into my archives and see if I have a video of it working and post it for you. This was one of my first videos and of course always would do things differently haha!
Abs is super high in bpa especially when warmed. Not overly concerning for a shower. But id use pvc just so you could use it for potable drinking water if needed aswell. You can always throw a copper pipe inside to prevent bacteria.😊
That’s a great idea I haven’t heard of using copper to fight bacteria! If I could do it over I would definitely go with PVC. Thanks for sharing your thoughts and watching!

Congrats on the new car👍 Mine is soon going in on the lastest warranty repair 😖😳
What is the latest warranty repair? You have a 2019 model 3 duel motor right?

Hello sir Are you looking for a professional UA-cam thumbnail designer 2 grow your views
No thanks I’m good with my less than mediocre thumbnails.
How well does this work heat wise? Does it heat the water enough for a comfortable shower?
Depends on the temperature outside and if your are in direct sun. You kinda have to play with it a bit. On a 85 degree day it was just right for showering for me.
You bought a Tesla because you make your own alcohol in a bucket.
Hahahaha! 🤣
Been roadtripping a 2018 model 3 for 6 years. Zero issues with range or charging. All over the west, Idaho, Montana, Arizona, Utah, Nevada, Washington, Oregon. Perfect road trip car.
Wow that’s impressive! Do you have the long range or standard range? Thanks for sharing your insight!
@@natenesstv6685 Long Range RWD, early serial number. But, I don't think the battery size matters much on a road trip, honestly. I can't recall any recent trips where I've had to use anything close to a full charge for any particular stretch between charging stalls. And, the charging is so fast now that it's hardly a factor in trip quality for me. I'm about to trade in my 2012 F150 and my Model 3 for a Cyberbeast. Parting with my Model 3 will be hard. I've never had a car I've enjoyed more, or that's cost me less to own. In Idaho I charge at ~11-12 cents per KWH for daily driving. Such a great car, and SW updates have made it better and better.
Sounds like a road trip to Idaho is in order for me. 11c per KWH is great! Gotta love Idaho, my in laws live there. Going from a f150 ,one of the most popular trucks in America, to a cyber truck is a jump worth documenting! You should make a video on that!
@@natenesstv6685 That's a series of videos for sure. Not sure I'll have the bandwidth and, there will be many others ahead of me.
Thank you for the insight.
Thank you for watching!
low maintanance... sexy words... everytime I go for an oil change, the mechanic is trying to hit me up for another $1000 worth of work. a flush here... a leak there.. a blah blah blah... no thank you. and why are you suggesting that I get break service, I JUST GOT IT DONE HERE 3 MONTHS AGO!
Exactly! I have a friend who has the same model 3 as me with 80k and only thing he has done is buy tires for it! It’s nice not getting nickel and dimed!
On the road trip/range anxiety note, you should check out Out Of Spec Studios if you haven't heard of them. They run a group of channels that do a lot of EV testing and on their Out of Spec Motoring channel, they do a bunch of very long road trips with individual EVs as well as road trip races between various EVs, usually 800 miles or more. They show really well how to optimize your charging and get the most out of your range so you aren't having to wait for an hour at every stop. They're very long videos though, usually around 2-3hrs and some are even multiple parts each being that long, but they take you through the whole process. The race they did from Vegas to Colorado between the Lucid Air, Model S, and Porsche Taycan a few months ago is one of their best, and they just recently put out a 3 part series racing some of the new EV trucks from coast to coast. Their main Out Of Spec Reviews channel also does specific range testing, running them all the way until they die on the side of the highway to show how well the software in the car reports the actual battery capacity and how the car responds when the battery dies.
I will definitely check them out! Thanks for pointing me in their direction and for watching!
Tesla is Murica and I shall have one

Podrías mostrar cómo va tu avance estoy tratando de enseñarle a mi hijo también de pasar de la bici de equilibrio a la bici de pedal y apenas estoy empezando en ese proceso qué más me aconsejas
I think it's a good idea, but your video music is irritating af.
How long does the battery last?
I have the Milwaukee 9.0 amp hr high demand battery and have taken it on a 3 night camping trip running it about 1 1/2 - 2 hrs per night and it was still running. So 4 1/2 to 6 hrs of light maybe more. I haven’t done a test yet. I’m sure it depends on how bright and what color the lights are set to.
Basic but does not show how to bolt the tent to cross bars..
That is crazy, other than the winch (btw great idea, I am definitely stealing your idea) everything else was the same....
what size cvt tent?
I think it’s the pioneer, medium 56 inch.
@@natenesstv6685 find it big enough?
Definitely, I am 6’3” my wife is 5’10” and we sleep up top comfortably I have 2 kids who sleep in the annex. It’s cozy, but it is camping 🏕️
You’re not burning your stove hot enough or your burning wet wood….
Cool incline plane design! Did you ever consider winching the rooftop tent straight up from its center and backing the vehicle under the tent? Maybe there is not enough space vertically in your garage to do this.
I tried putting a winch in the attic and cut a hole through the drywall/ceiling, but my garage just isn’t tall enough.
Just get a mate to help you lift the tent onto the car roof.
Genius!
Thanks for watching!
Now I’m hitting the carpet dumpster lol cool
Hahahaha! 🤣
I use a test plug for filling and just note that in time they can launch out under pressure, mine did twice, now I use a restraining system.
There was some sort of damage down in the liner. I seen it sunken in
It wouldn't gone much more longer, b4 a chimney fire 🔥🔥
This was helpful. Thanks for posting it!
Nice video
You're the first person I've seen use a rubber expanding end plug. They're nearly always a screw type end plug that almost impossible to get off without a huge shifter! Having everything already in black is a huge bonus and time saver. Unfortunately for me, they don't have that in Australia. I had to sand and paint mine.
You're a brave man bro! I'm trying to remove the same tent from a brand new Defender.
Yea a $7,000 Chevy Tahoe is a lot more forgiving than a new Defender! Haha! Hope it went well for you!

Don’t forget that in the UK, for insurance, flues should be cleaned annually by a professional who gives you the required certificate for insurance purposes after the job has been done.
Wow! I didn’t know that about the UK! Thanks for sharing with us!
I think it's the same in New Zealand. It costs less than $100 NZD (about $60 USD) to get it done by a professional, so it is definitely worth it for insurance purposes and peace of mind.
With the amount of creosote collected is key. With temperatures reaching a constant 500 degrees and up to 2000. Think of creosote as like charcoal it’ll get to a burn as embers and the constant burn of logs below reinforces the temperature and when the creosote coating spreads as collective embers you get an uncontrollable burn and if you’ve ever walked outside to hear the chimney exhaust flue it’s a pressure cooker blowing up and out and is where if there are cracks present up the flue is where heat temperatures escape to start fires in the second story subfloors, walls and attics to the roof. It’s a sound you’ll never forget like a tornado. High pressure confined in small space try to get out. Great job on the video and the lead for the Sweep enjoy and be safe. You got it good. Now come to Georgia and do mine 😂😂😂😂
Wow thanks for explaining that! And yea Georgia is a ways away! Hahaha! 😂
This was extremely helpful. Thanx
Glad it was helpful!
Hello, by any chance you could help me find a coolant drain plug on this model?
Me too. My 3 100hp tractors from this era don't have obvious drains or petcocks and are due for a coolant flush. Looking for some advice. Free bump to this question and thanks in advance!

Your audio was perfect during your intro outside, but as soon as your voice over came on, the quality of the audio just didn't sound natural. I found it difficult to listen to.
