European trucks are far superior to anything built in the USA, in ride, comfort and environmental friendliness, especially Scanias.
It's too much of a trade barrier. It's the safest and most environmentally friendly truck. The fact that Volvo is in the US means it's not a real Volvo. If it were a real Volvo, it would have swept the floor with other Stone Age trucks.
Big words - no proof
but, they are 😂😂😂
Saab-Scania! Not just Scania ;)
It's called protectionism. Prohibitive cobbled up legislation designed to impede any manufacturer from importing their excellent products . Look what they did to British vehicles . They insisted on changes to bumpers, headlights and power levels. A classic being that only round headlights were allowed, ridiculous lumps of rubber had to be fitted to front bumpers . Engines were detuned by about 25% making them underpowered . It's all very transparent. Not really a problem for vehicle manufacturers in the UK as our manufacturing base was destroyed long ago by unions andregulations. We don't make anything here any more . We are just a nation of shop keepers !
Beautiful Beast,
Thank you for your Appreciation...
That is not a CABOVER....
What it comes down to is that standards are measured in a different way in the US. So, to qualify, Scania needs to adapt to the different regulations and measurement methods. However, given that the Scania engines are actually more advanced and cleaner, that should be very easy for them, if they wish to do so. The big question if they want to make the effort, given the threat of import tariffs etc.
All these good comments yet the US truck Market seems to be stuck in the 90s... last century. No wonder China is beating the crap out of the US in just about everything😮
The U.S. truck market has definitely held onto traditional designs and technologies longer than some international markets. While there have been advancements, like more aerodynamic models and fuel efficiency improvements, many American truckers prefer the classic long-nose designs and big displacement engines for reliability and comfort. China, and Europe too, have pushed forward with more advanced cab-over designs, electric and hybrid powertrains, and strict emissions standards. It’s an interesting contrast between innovation and tradition. Do you think the U.S. will eventually shift, or will driver preferences keep things the way they are?
@OffRoadWarriors-ks yeah I'm not sure what us truck makers are thinking. I was just looking at a foreign model cabover which I think was Swiss. It seemed more advanced than us car makers. And if I'm not mistaken and had a 770 horsepower engine! But the US makers do not listen to the drivers. Because I sure the hell do not like my lighting controls on the left side compared to the old style were they were on The Middle console. Not to mention my 2023 Mack anthem what's in the shop about four times for bad sensors before they found a bad wiring harness which rubbed against the engine and was shorting them out. That's bad designing. And my last brand new International Truck had an engine light from day one. It was in the shop at least 10 times. They never figured out the problem. And I've always had trouble with the death systems in these trucks. My back started shutting down and had to be towed for a 3 hour repair.
Ai shit
Volvo FH16 780 would be my choice.
Thanks for your comment, Soon we will upload volvo FH16 780 in full detail.
It's a rigged market, controlled by the truck builders. Just like everything else in the USA. Big Business rules. The have seen what the Japanese and Germans have done to their car market and can see that if European Trucks had a honest trade with America, then the American truck builders would be in serious trouble. Make no mistake European trucks are at least 10 years ahead of American trucks. I f you insist on a long hood, Volvo has already built one and with the large deep cab. Scania is held in high regard because it always seeks the truck drivers opinion and changes the trucks to suit. Before you run down European trucks I suggest you drive one, they speak for themselves.
You make a strong point. The American trucking industry is deeply tied to legacy manufacturers, and regulations often favor domestic designs. Meanwhile, European brands like Scania, Volvo, and Mercedes-Benz have been refining technology, aerodynamics, and driver comfort for decades-adapting based on real-world driver feedback. If the U.S. opened the market fairly, there’s a chance European trucks could disrupt the status quo. Some drivers might resist change due to tradition, but others might embrace the efficiency, safety, and comfort advantages. Have you driven both European and American trucks? If so, what stood out the most in terms of differences?
A scania esta mostrar que sempre foi melhor do mundo❤❤❤❤😂
Deus me ouviu, meu sonho vai ser realizado 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
I WILL KEEP. My. 379😊😊❤❤❤❤
It is illegal cos the American manufacturers cannot compete.
It looks like a Pete and KW with some AI. Artificial Ignorance!
This pictured truck is Not a cabover
From EU : Because Scania is A LOT! better! 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
I doubt EU truckers care at all. :)
@harri9885 😂you are probably right✌️😀
BS....why would Paccar use Scania when DAF have a comparable engine already available. No amount of BS will make this true. Bugger off AI.
Bla-bla-bla .
I can see you believe the b/s Drive a Scania for real. and then make your comments.
@@johnchristmas7522 You've missed the point . Bla-bla is the useless talk which does not clearly explains why Scania is illegal . Be smarter than a truck driver !
The question remains still unanswered .... Why Scania is illegal in the USA?
Don't forget donald trump wants to give the titans five hundred billion dollars for A.I. research SOON IT'LL BE CONTROLLING TRACKTOR TRAILER TRUCKS AND WE WON'T HAVE A JOB
Until we see one haul eighty thousand pounds on a real video I don't believe it they still haven't got automatics worked out yet and electric is supposed to work
