MetMo
Приєднався 11 чер 2019
We do things differently, making tools with the mind-set that they must last beyond a single lifetime. We bring old tool patents to back life using materials and machining not seen outside of high-performance engineering.
We love to over-engineer the simple things and bringing large and otherwise unobtainable things into the miniature world, so we can all enjoy them on a new level.

How to care for your MetMo Driver
Every good tool needs a bit of a service and a clean up occasionally, and MetMo Driver is no different. Here's what to do to keep your Driver looking and working as good as the day it arrived!

Making Of MetMo Multi Drive
Переглядів 1,3 тис.3 місяці тому
We took to the workshop and built a prototype of the MetMo Multi Drive, from scratch. Watch as we use milling, turning and hand finishing to rebuild this time-honoured classic from metal. This was a 40 hour build over 5 days, using mild-steel and brass, all in our small workshop equipped with hand lathes and milling machines without a CNC in sight! More info about this project can be found on o...

Introducing MetMo Cube - The most oddly satisfying cube you can buy
That is not finished 😳😳😳☹️
Well we couldn't give the full MetMo cube experiece away for free ;)
Lol
No BSW or BSF threads 😮
No clip?
Product link please or name 🙏
Okay "calm cube" was already an alliteration why is it "kalm kube"
the way it didnt finish hurts my eyes
Thats a metmo cube also nice one
Cringy marketing for an otherwise cool gadget
Ha yeah this was the first ever video for the Cube about 5 years ago, we've come a long way I think!
Music ruins experience. Share ASMR versions
@@lu881 the Cube is virtually silent so we’d have to get some serious equipment for that! 😅
What is this?!
It's a MetMo Multi Drive! www.kickstarter.com/projects/metmo/metmo-multi-drive-the-ultimate-desktop-multi-tool
@@MetMoCube what does it do?
@@MrSamPhoenix it's a multi tool :) Click the link to read what it's all about!
Looks great! I'm really excited for February 2025!
We're excited too! 😄
I only one who hear i shit by myself
If just 2 bits ? Then not much thought went into design
Every MetMo tool including our pocket driver is more than meets the eye. You can see how we created the MetMo pocket driver here ua-cam.com/video/KhfPJhXDOJg/v-deo.html we always do a making of video to show you each step of the creation process :).
The only thing that could tarnish such a versatile and wonderfully compact tool would be 2 minutes and 29 seconds of the most hideously generic music publicly available. I watched it on mute, and will fund the kickstarter.
All inside a pink toolbox, very fitting...
We thought so too! 😉
I need this recession to end so I can buy everything. FML
For all you weak so called men that arent strong enough for a screw driver!
Cut ur nails
Yes, it is not safe when working with equipment.
Those aren't just any regular old nails they are MetMo nails :)
using the Allen key the wrong way for a start
We are just really against fiddly Allen key's in the first place as they can be tricky to grip, MetMo pocket driver has been designed so that anyone can use it even in more awkward spaces. :)
If you don't know how to use a tool, don't use it... The first one is perfect, just you're too dumb so..
Keep it, I’ll use my drill driver instead 😂
😮💨
Omg this is what happens 😊😊😊❤😂😂😂
Mine just shipped, I'm so excited.
Brilliant news thank you for backing MetMo, not long to wait now! :) Any plans for your MetMo pocket driver when it arrives?
Tf is that
It's a MetMo Pocket Driver! www.indiegogo.com/projects/metmo-pocket-driver/x/22780768#/
**Bernie Sanders voice** I am once again asking how to acquire one of these works of art 🫵
Haha unfortunately our Gold pocket drivers were limited editions and they have all sold out a while back, if you are wanting to get one of our special limited editions in the future keep your eyes peeled on the MetMo website we will be announcing future campaigns there :). www.metmo.club/
I really love mine! I've used raw magnets as fidget spinners in the same way in the past but they're much more finicky, these are super satisfying! I wish you had rounded the edge of the brass inserts though, or made them the tiniest bit shorter, the lip that appears (that you can see at 4:58) is the only thing keeping it from absolute perfection
We love a MetMo mod! 👏
that gold is so sick!!! how do you get one? be a Jedi?
Only those with the force (and a bit of cash) are deemed worthy of a gold Pocket Driver 😉
Why not integrate a quarter inch drive somewhere on the back end of it and use the handle as a bit of a hammer drill handle probably need a couple more bearings but the quarter inch drive mounted or integrated into the back of the main component could also act as a Lock or bit extension
Thank you for your ideas I have passed these on to our team to consider as we think you are on to something here :).
It often ruins coatings. Which can cause issues. But if its raw metal its cool and fine.
those are some very loud servos 😭
CNC
Awesome thanks for the content
Thank you for your support it means a lot to the small team behind MetMo that you are enjoying our content anything you would like to see content wise in the future? :)
For those wondering, it costs $324 USD and is made using Electric Discharge Machining to make the nearly seamless design. These are super overpriced and not worth it
Your right we use very precise EDM to machine each MetMo cube. EDM allows us to make very, very precise shapes, structures and parts to perform very specific tasks where extreme tolerances are required. The interaction of the parts in our cube cannot be replicated using laser cutting, casting or CNC machining. MetMo Cube gives you access and ownership to a very special form of engineering technology, usually reserved for high-budget engineering programs and cutting-edge researchhe level of engineering that goes into creating something this precise is very specialist. It takes a great deal of skill, time and extremely expensive machinery to create the MetMo Cube. You might have seen some UA-cam videos of similar objects, but they're only very costly demos. This is the world's first metal motion cube you can ACTUALLY OWN!
DONT GRAB FLYING BLADES
Please do not worry Danger knife has been fully neutralised ;)
I hate my mind 😂
🤨🤨🤨
First pin???
No
What the name of the background music?
Heya.... are all MetMo drivers created by hand this way? If so, it is well worth the £100 cost.
Hey all Metmo designs are first made as seen in this making of video then they are scaled up while still being made in small batches. We have multiple factories making the same parts too, so you might have an item that has parts machined in Netherlands, UK, Vietnam and China all in the same product! They are all assembled and finished here in our warehouse workshop in the UK. Allen keys, bits and attachments come from UK stockists. Most of our leather products now come from a factory in India. We always try to use the best people for the task at hand as well as finding new companies to work with and partner with. We're focused on making the best products we can, and boarders are no obstacle in that pursuit.
how tf did he do that pen trick?
Mad Metmo skills just a side effect of the recommended daily Metmo pen use ;)
This is in no way a new design, its a great design for a ratcheting screwdriver. I have a similar one thats as old if not older than me, maybe made in the 90's. Cool tool but not a new idea
Your right that the original design has been around a long time we were fascinated by Conrad Baumann's ratchet driver from the 1950's and its mesmerising exposed ratchet mechanism, so we set to work to create the most powerful and compact driver in existence and, while we're at it, inject some MetMo satisfaction at every opportunity as well as reimagining it to be practical for modern day use.
@@MetMoCube the difference is yours uses modern bits and looks sleek whereas mine has weird slotted shanks and does look kinda odd
Neuralyzer looks great
wtf is this fr ???
like a screwdriver??? but like why, what's the specific use
The best tool on the planet!!
The Metmo driver and Metmo pocket driver can be used for a range of tasks from bike repair to assembling Ikea furniture and are also generally satisfying high quality fidgets. The Metmo driver was also inspired by Conard Baumanns original design however we engineered out all the weak points of the original and used modern quality engineering techniques and materials to make it useful for the current day. It's Made for designers, engineers, thinkers, and anyone who wants to just take a moment to focus, relieve stress or just play around.
