@keen9629 At the beginning of the season through about mid season, maybe a bit later, I don't bait any traps. I trap the den and lodge travel routes and the runs around their feed pile. As the season progresses and their feed pile begin to sour I may set a few baited conibears, or baited foot traps. On my next trip out, I will construct and set each kind of those so you can see how I do it. That's a great question, thank you for asking! Stay tuned for the coming video!

@bradleymarquardt4464 Thank you for the question and comment. Most of the runs I set are fairly deep, and alot of times I can't see to the bottom where the trap is through the ice. Also I chop all my traps out to check to keep the ice from freezing thicker. I absolutely agree with you about the bank dens. Unfortunately, I haven't been able to find many in the places I'm at, and the ones I do find aren't deep enough to set. Bank dens are much easier to trap.

@JamesComstockCages 660s yes, infact, I make my own. I have a video coming up soon where I use them. They work really well in the wider runs. I don't use cages

@JamesComstockCages I am in central Maine. I do use gauntlets, however sometimes I forget to bring em with me lol the majority of my traps are made by Duke. I love em and they work really good for me. Thank you for your comment and questions!
