My neighbour had one of these. It was a very good machine.
@@LarsDcCase i love this one!

@@charlietanner6211 thate crazy how different the prices were, Even adjusting for inflation that's a heck of a deal on a new machine! Glad to bring back some good times!

Hello!
great video of massey
@@petergardner2334 thanks!
The old girl still getting it done. I like your calm demeanor on camera when things don’t always go right. 👍👍👍✌🏻🇺🇸🙏🏽
@christinamoneyhan5688 she does well! And no use getting all blown up over something like that, it never helps, much more efficient to just work the problem out 😃
Our first self propelled was a Massey 300 sure was a big upgrade from a Massey Harris 60 PT.
@@brucecopeman9107 i could imagine! It's been really good to me this year Easy to work on and simple to set
@@brucecopeman9107 My dad farmed 2000 acres in the '70s and we had two 105 combines. He would rent combines occasionally to help out in one year he rented a Massey Ferguson 510 with no cab. And I ran it. It would gobble up the green just as good as the 105s would. I didn't mind not having a cabin just having a small rail between me and falling into the head of the combine. But what I hated was the exhaust from the engine would blow back in your face at least always in one direction. Sometimes it feels like it did it in both directions going up and down the field. LOL.
@truthandfreedom885 haha I know the feeling, anytime I'm on my farmall 300, the exhaust seems to find a way right in your face... Sounds like those were some great time running those 2,000 acres!!
Get rid of music
@@craignepp524 turn the volume off 😃
I liked the music.
@roymacaskill6610 me too 😅
Congratulations to you, I was in the same boat, born to farm but circumstances worked against me. Finally at the age of 43 I bought enough land and got started. Had success and loads of fun for the last 16 years. Never got to the point where I could full time farm so lots of nights working till 3am. I am almost 60 getting tired but I'll go as long as I can.
@truthandfreedom885 thanks! I'm really hoping to make it into full time, even if it's farming and doing other things on the side, just don't want to keep working for some one else, So I guess you could say full time on my own haha It's incredible you made it into farming, too! It's hard to do but so worth it!
@@stuckinthepast300 well if you've got the health insurance figured out that's a big part of it. Mine went from 350 a month to $1,900 a month after Obamacare. It's a good thing I've got it. The only way I made it was I was very successful in the business that I am in and I was able to buy land before what absolutely sky high. It's not the best land but one thing additions are right like any other piece of land I've grown some awesome crops on it. But if I don't get rain in July and August I'm break-even at best. I do have friends who broke into farming and I've been very successful. It's a lot of work and you need storage for your hay. But they've done very very well raising alfalfa and selling it too dairy farms. Even if you start with ditch grass any good a good baler with rap. There's the start. And tell you accumulate shop for storage. More land to rent ,dependible semi and trailers to call it to the clientele. Get paid on delivery.
@truthandfreedom885 you've got it all right! My hay business is doing decent, but I'm scaling it back alittle to focus on the row crops, that said, there's still plenty of hay to do haha
It does the heart good to see that ol Massey at work. What size head is on it?
@Mark-Marine just alittle 10 footer, but it was a good match in those beans, Was really good to operate!
Great vids jake Hard work pays off
@@franksteigerwald9031 thanks man And thanks for the footage!!
Congratulations!!!! May your dream contiue✌🏿✌🏿
Thanks!! Its awesome!!
Congrats on your first big step into rowcrops!
Thanks! It's very aweosme!!
Do you plan to do crop rotation and do corn next year
disking for wheat as we speak, going back into beans after the wheat, my corn planter was stolen so im kinda working on that now lol
@@stuckinthepast300 stolen! wow that doesn’t sound good hope you figure that out that seems tuff
@@Somedudethatmows its not as bad as it sounds, It was pretty out dated even for my operation and honestly, I got more than my money's worth out of it, Just opens me up to something better! 😃
Nice video
Thanks

Absolutely Whole job is so nice
Let's goooo keep the shorts coming
Excellent video!
Thanks!!!
Do you know what model planter that is?
McCormick model 10
you had those exact exact measurements for your bags
Surprising what happens when you do everything like you've learned and observed, and it works, And I'm genuinely serious, normally it never works out like that for me haha!! I'm beyond happy with how the seed went in!! 😁😁
I love the intermission
Makes me giggle when I see it haha
Yippee. Alright. NICE
Join me again for something new, ..... or old, ... alright
Was that one of your hay pastures before?
No, this was a field that was in beans last year, we just bought the farm and I'm putting it into beans to later put it into hay
Take heart, the busy season is coming! Enjoy the moisture while it lasts.
You are 100% correct!
Very good Buddy

Not sure, hoping it's going to go well, I actually just came home with a grain truck, so it's all moving forward
