Induction Heated Tooling for Mass Production of Composites
Hear how Temper uses magnetic fields to densify or consolidate materials. For composite materials, Temper inductively couples into the tooling surface which results in heating times from room temperature to process temperature as fast as 30 seconds. Tooling configurations are available as one-sided or two-sided (matched metal tooling). For joining, the material is inductively heated at the bond line, and for titanium, powder is shaped into a mold and densified using solid to solid phase transformation.
