That's a perfect counter attack with Royal Guard. You know how to use the regular counter attack with Royal Guard? It's the same input but you time it just before the enemy hits you, hope this helps :3

Some games like Black Ops 4 was developed in 2-3 years but they scrapped almost everything last minute and basically remade the game in ~6-8 months rushed. Development time means squat if they don't know what they are doing or don't commit. I'm pretty sure MK1 was rushed to some degree, which results in a product that could have been better than average.

@@leovanilla6833 Lmao its average? It's definitely better than most of the games we got this year. Story mode is actually better than MK 11 and X combined along with Invasions and a great character Roster. Sucks we dont have conquest mode but honestly Invasions is good. But I do hate the UI for training and the Combo list.

@@SenkUwULol This is my first MK since I was a kid. All I ever played was Deadly Alliance through MK vs DC lol. I'm coming at it through the lenses of a fighting game fan. I just feel overall a game like Street Fighter 6 is just a more complete package. Although 100% the story mode for MK is loads more fun than ANYTHING other modern fighting games have out right now. Kombat is fun too. I just think Invasions is kinda, okay? Ranked is also meh. Nothing to write home about. Also wish it was per character and not per account. Not many gripes tbh. For me it's like a 7/10 at worst. At best an 8.

@@SenkUwULol What? Are you crazy? Or are you only talking about fighting games. This has been one of the most packed years in gaming history. BG3, Lies of P, Armored Core 6, Sea of Stars, Dead Space, RE4 remake, Hogwarts Legacy, Star Wars Jedi: Survivor, Tears of the Kingdom, Street Fighter 6, Final Fantasy 16, Pikmin 4, Starfield, Payday 3. Spiderman 2 and Alan Wake 2 are still coming up. MK1 is being well received but it is not better than most games we got this year. MK is usually pretty good but this year it won't scratch the top 10. I honestly have not read such an uninformed take on gaming in a long time. There are tons of articles and videos that won't shut the fuck up about how packed the year is.

Very interesting to see to see the meta develop, I'm glad they were able to incorporate past mechanics in a way that still makes SF6 have its own identity

I dunno i think that it was kinda nerfed in V because in 3&4 you could literally turn them with gunslinger to machine pistoles and trust me they were broken

@@solidparas1925 I'm not looking for broken. I'm looking for functionality. Gunslinger was only really good in 3 and 4 in very specific moves (while 3 had a definite damage boost with E&I), where as in 5 it's ALL of the moves have much more of a purpose and impact. I actually LIKE using E&I now that isn't just spamming rainstorm, or switching to more powerful firearms (like Artemis, Kalina-Anne or Pandora) for their heavy hitting attacks. I actually LIKE sliding around with Coyote-A, ducking and weaving with potshots before sliding right in for a impactful gun-stinger. I like the new ludicrous dual KA system, that still gives 1 and 2 unique moves if separated (mid combat mind you, and not just through a menu). I like how Dr. Faust is TOTALLY broken, but it's actually quite the extensive swiss-army gun on top of it's ridiculous power-scaling (if, of course, the orb price is right, lol). To me, Gunslinger has NEVER been better.

After completing Sekiro 3 times in a row because I couldn't afford any new games, DMC 5 came on sale. I was a Royal Guard abuser and it made the game kind of a cakewalk.

@@greendinosaur562 Cool, but can you combo? In all seriousness, as long as you aren't bored when playing the game, it doesn't really matter how you play it. The game actively encourages you to play stylishly your way, after all.
