This episode was amazing! She unintentionally put you on the hot seat, and it was funny😂. Also, I agree with her-dating apps suck. It’s definitely better to meet someone organically, and yes, the gym is a sacred place. I completely agree that dating is difficult. I feel like I want something traditional, but at the same time, I think, 'Why do I need you when I can do better on my own?' This is a huge issue!😅

I haven’t heard nor personally witnessed a domestic violence increase because of stay-at-home husbands. Personally, I think if your ego is wounded over the fact that your wife out earns you or works when you stay at home, that’s a YOU problem. I am so tired of women being told that we have to tiptoe around men and their fragile little egos. We females have been oppressed and treated like second class citizens for multiple generations. It’s our time now and we’ve worked extremely hard for it. I believe in the past, men were marriage material if they were employed, attractive, and could give us children. The bar was so low. Now many women are highly educated, career-oriented, and a lot of us don’t want children. So we’ve set the bar higher. We want the guys who are loving, kind, funny, affectionate, attentive, faithful, honest, even-tempered, emotionally mature, and self-controlled (among other qualities)… we want them to be our best friends… to be able to equally share in the domestic duties or with the upbringing of children… we want them to step up to our level. And unfortunately, many guys are still stuck in the 20th century thinking they’re enough doing the bare minimum. So we girls would rather be single than to put up with a lifetime of that nonsense like our mothers and grandmothers had to. And I think that’s where the real problem lies.

Question: is it lack of motivation or procrastination? Lots of positive takeaways. Bringing in your inner child into the awareness and practice of self care for your mental health is the core of how we can move along the journey to our North star or the journey of life. I think it’s really important to know your attachment style and understand your triggers because they can affect more than just your love life-they affect you in the workplace as well. First: for anyone who’s anxiously attached, I highly recommend Anxiously Attached by Jessica Baum. It’s a heavy read, but she includes meditations throughout that are super helpful for healing. It’s not just about romantic relationships; it really touches on all aspects of life. Secondly, Tom, I don’t mean to overstep since we are complete strangers, but I truly believe that healing is key to finding love. Some people are lucky enough to find someone who helps them heal, while others need to do the inner work first. Love is unpredictable and different for everyone, but that’s what makes it beautiful, right? There’s a saying in Spanish I grew up with: "Lo que es tuyo, aunque te quites, y lo que no, ni aunque te pongas." It means, “What’s meant for you will come, and what’s not won’t, no matter how hard you try.” It will come to you once you are ready and when you least expect it. I'll see how mine happens, and I'll let you know😂 for research purposes, of course. Anyway, great episode-loved it! ❤️

Juria's tiktok vids appeared on my feed some months ago and they just reappeared. My family is originally from Malaysia but I've grown up in Australia and have not been there in decades! It was just fascinating to browse vids of Malaysian life and I think her vids just came up. But to be fair, I keep wondering how you are able to walk around Malaysia or Bali without sweating buckets. I have been to the UK in summer, lived in Japan and tolerated the Japanese summers and regularly go to Cairns in summer - all very humid climates - and yet I'm defeated in Malaysia (I was there in Sabah last year and barely survived - the mossies love me and the only reason I survived was because I am in the water a lot - I scuba dive). My first thought upon watching this vid was "Why Portugal?" but I guess you gave an answer! I work in a completely different part of finance so of course I was also wondering about the tax side. Is not speaking Portugese going to be an issue? Anyway good luck - I'll check in as I'm curious to see where your journey goes. I'm not in the high net worth bracket but probably need to be more considerate of my financial independence. Ironically I deal with those people's moneys a lot.
