@@PREtersen 😂😂 This is a very oldschool beta version of Counter-Strike from the year 2000. Expect buggy gameplay and stuff that isn't around anymore in CS 1.6. 😄

​@@SilverSoldierCS Nah, pretty sure 6.1 was 1998 or 1999 cause I was in the first or 2nd year of highschool, and they had just changed all the 264s 364s with pentium 2s and some guy from another school brought one disc drive to install CS 6.1 or 6.8, command & conquer annihilation and quake 2 on every PC in the computer room down in the basement, and every single one of the about 24-28 spots was occupied and kids were running from class to get a PC. I do remember that the betas were coming out pretty quickly after another. Before beta 8 the Colt actually had a secondary scope function like the Sig and aug.

But CS beta 6.1 was released on 24/03/2000. 😅 counterstrike.fandom.com/wiki/Counter-Strike_BETA_patches/March_24,_2000 and beta 7.1 (one of my favorite versions) was the final beta version (16/09/2000) before the retail 1.0 release on 09/11/2000. And you're right, a lot of patches were released quickly after each other.

A good question.. I think I would go for the M4. The AK47 is ver deadly, but you need to aim very well. You can spray a bit more with the M4. The AUG is also a great weapon in beta 6.1.

Beta 6.1, since there are so many crappy 1.6 servers with weird mods and bots online.. It isn't the sames many years ago. And beta 6.1 has the og jumping.

And which version do you prefer?

That is correct! The P228 is pretty good in this version! The Deagle sucks in beta 6.1...

@@Yousef.Y201 I'm sorry we start at this time. It is because we try to have some players from different places around the world. For me it is a good time, since the kids are asleep at that time.😅😆 On saturdays there's an event planned 1 hour earlier and the sunday events start at 18:00 Amsterdam time. They play games like CS 1.3, CZ, CS Source, CSGO. For me this time is too early, but if you are able, feel free to join our events.😃

It is a small alteration in beta 6.1 to make it more balanced. In the past people left the server when we played as_ maps. "Too difficult". This alteration works pretty well for the balance during our events.

I do play with the M3 sometimes. 😄

@@Yousef.Y201 A very good question..😅 It depends on range, teamplay, map..🤔 The Desert Eagle keeps on dissapointing me in this version.. In newer versions of CS the deagle is awesome, but here.. mostly crap.😅

@@SilverSoldierCS hi Silver thank you for the invitation, i'm on the facebook page, honestly i could not play because i was working 4hs ago. Anyways I tried joining a sv that only had bots, i had 150 ms and the gameplay felt super bad XD, sad for me, bots will be my teammates for now =) a lot of time i watch your videos because this old version is super great. There are ton of svs here but for 1.6 only. I am thinking on making a modded 1.6 sv called legacy, using plugins that emulate the closer it can to legacy versions gameplay. It is not 100% accurate but it is what it is, im sure players will join maybe make or adapt some maps for bots to play easily not complex layouts =)
