this is great
Great info. Quit with the soundtracks. :(
Lmao I couldn’t with the music but it seems interesting
I'm starting a wetland delineation training tomorrow with The Wetland Institute and this was such a fun and informative crash course! My brain maybe comprehended more from this video than the 20+ hours of PowerPoint videos they gave us haha. Thank you! And cutest doggo ever.
Love this video! Good mix of entertaining and informative!
editor is a real hero here. Made it more fun to watch
Incredible job, y'all! You've got a brand new fan. <3
This was way more fun than it had any right to be. Both the docs are characters and, for Pete's sake, the editor is a champ.
Get rid of the damn background music.
Great series of videos! Easy to understand and very informative, would love more.
These criteria need to be at the fore-front of wetland determination(s). Opponents to wetland conservation wanna predicate determinations on water persistence, connections to a river system, or a perennial drainage-ridiculous! They wanna drain what’s left of the seasonal wetlands that are surrounded by uplands-i.e.-waterfowl habitat, and critical wildlife habitat.
Thank you for this! Entertaining and helpful.
What to do, to dry a wetland?
I love that your dog goes with you to the job! ❤
Great video! Thank you so much! I'm applying to Environmental Scientist, Ecologist, and Biologist positions in my area, and some of the jobs list wetland delineation as part of the role. Wetland delineations were not covered in my undergrad coursework, so this video is very helpful! Thanks again.
I’m on the same boat! Amy updates on how it’s been?
Determination and delineation mean two different things
It seems like you are both very knowledgeable. However, the choppy video work detracted from the actual content. I would like to see you shoot another video with more closeups of the soil
These guys are great! Love the editing too
Fantastic video, man. So well edited
What would you gents say to someone who wanted to get certification in Wetland Delineation and GIS that already has a BS in Biology and Chemistry?
Super super helpful! thank you :)
what is that field book you"re using with the soil and Iron guides?
I was wondering that too. I think it is the Munsell Soil Color System book
He said in the video. It's the Munsell
6:50 I died 😂
So if you determined it was a Histic Epipedon rather than a Histosol, would that change your determination? I'm guessing not, so how much hole digging is truly necessary? I'd bounce up and down and say, yep definitely hydric. Lets move on. Save a lot of time better used to evaluate the actual boundary.
great video. i hope you put the soil back into the hole after you finished your demonstration.
What a great intro to wetland delineation methods. You fellas do an amazing job of covering the important aspects of identifying wetlands/uplands and capturing the fun of being out in the field. Thanks for putting this out there!
You guys are so funny! You made this video so enjoyable
I love it!
Wastewater is a problem for us all. This is an excellent way of dealing with it. Here in Colorado it would irrigate Pot plants.
Great explanation of hydric soils - complete with good humor but watch out for those dad jokes.
This video needs some dogs eating peanut butter.
