For all of you that are saying “she’s wrong” or “ she’s preposterous”…this is exactly what black people mean. You have no concept of how living the black American experience is like. Even when you struggle, you can at least find comfort in the fact that you’re white and there’s a chance that your situation can improve - either consciously or unconsciously. As a black person WE KNOW the deck is stacked against us and that the simplest struggle can be life altering.

He painted white people because he was a white man, who lived in a white country in a predominantly white continent. If you chose artwork or sculpture from Africa, you'd see a different representation, simply for common sense reasons. Michaelangelo's work had no intent of insinuating "White" as an ideal in of itself. This is the type of error that happens when overly seeking evidence to support your world view. Ok so, what I get from all this is to gain the piles of knowledge assumptions we can then project onto group "white", group "Black", groups XYZ, so that as I go through the world I can presume sets of assumptions about all people based on the color of their skin. And that's how we know how to appropriately interact with each other, based on skin color. Aren't we just back to square 1 though? Back to Pre-judging, being predjudice, precisely in the form of racial discernment. I think that's called RACISM. Enacting her philosophy of "anti racism" unfolds Circularly.
