Shimla to Manali Road trip by car via Kullu is a unique and unforgettable experience. The distance between Shimla to Manali is approx 260 km. The condition of the road is not good (early stage 2024). It takes almost 8 - 10 hours from Shimla to reach Manali. So the ideal time to start your journey is early morning.
here are lots of things to visit on the way such as Sundar Nagar Lake, Mandi, Guru Gobinda Singh ji Guru dwara, Pandoh Dam and Lake, Hanogi Mata Temple, Hanging Bridge, Larji Hydro electrical project, Kullu, kullu tunnel, Vaishno Mahadevi Tirth etc. If you r travelling by a car , there are lots of fuel station on the road. There are a lots of Dhaba and restaurants on the way. You can have breakfast and lunch there as well. This road trip is very adventurous and an unforgettable experience.
Paragliding in Kullu
Kullu is a municipal council town that serves as the administrative headquarters of the Kullu district of the Indian state of Himachal Pradesh. Kullu town has an average elevation of 1,278 m (4,193 ft).
First-timers often describe their flight as "breathtaking" and "spiritual," saying that they fulfilled their dream of flying like a bird.
Dobhi is the nearest place to Kullu, where you should try paragliding. Paragliding in Dobhi Village is available in both short and long flight modes, offering a spectacular view of the Dhauladhar Range as well as picturesque views of the Beas River. There are two forms of Paragliding in Kullu:- the first short flight and the second long flight. A short flight lasts about 5 to 6 minutes, while a long flight lasts about 10 to 15 minutes.
