Karen was Smoking Hot! Richard was a genius. Great family!
It's ashamed how they never listened to Karen. Never showed Karen any love at all. That's why she did what she did.
❤
You like to blow your mind with interesting music. Dive into Peruvian Jazz. 6/8ths with cajon, and very, very warm, beautifully-resolving melodies. I was blown away. Flor De La Canela Is a classic song made into sweet, sweet jazz. Then you have Marinera, which is kind of shared with Bolivia and Chile (ceacheí!), and Andean Cajamarca music, which reminds me of Chinese music (I believe there's an influence somewhere). I discovered all tonight. And then, there's Peruvian Waltz. That's🤯
I bet she would sound as good today as she did back then. Kinda like Streisand.
RIP Karen. A few people used you... Including your brother. I still listen to you. Would love the drums as well 🎉
karen had perfect picht. i get meoncoly when i hear her .Rip.
I don't like that genre of music but they transcended it and I loved their unique sound. I was really sad when Karen died.
I dont know why but when i was young ( male ) and i would hear her songs either being played or on the radio i would feel depressed and sad and to this day some of her songs can bring tears to my eyes even now 😥😥
Listening to this I just get such a weird vibe from Richard. Such a load of anger and bristling. It feels like she was being put on an awkward situation by his ego all the time and having to pander to his feelings, and the way they knocked her back for seeking her own life. I dunno, just get a weird vibe from him. But certainly a great talent she was. Must have been a bit odd at times having such a close relationship with your sibling at an age when a lot of people your age would have been meeting partners, getting married, starting new stages of their lives. Her drumming skills were incredible too.
Karen was so gifted. She had the voice of a angel. Rip karen. Thank you for being such an amazing part of our musucal history.
they would have been nothing without Karen.
1 of my all time favourite bands. I loved Karen Carpenter’s voice.
I am fan from Thailand now I'm 61years old I l the Carpenter they're nice sweet voice both Rip.Karen
I was inn fourth or fifth geade when I heard the news through a class activity in Social Studies. t qas the first time hearing such a strange disease called Anorexia Nervosa.
A legend
In a world of "Experts" who garner info from a computer instead of real life experience, You can believe Linda Perry about just how rare in terms of compassion, tone & quality K C's voice is in a world full of singers. Linda Perry has decades of experience in the music industry none of which came from a computer, But from touring with 4 non blonds and producing records for world famous singers.
her eyes are remarkably beautiful.
THANKYOU KAREN AND RICHARD. You made Life worth Living. x
The most perfect voice. So easy on the ear.
She loved everything and everyone except herself. I miss her beautiful voice.
wow, it was from a bank commercial! that's a trip
Nice tribute and Karen was amazing. Still can't believe they won Grammy for Close to you over Beatles classic Let it Be and Paul Simon's Bridge over Troubled Water which is probably the greatest ballad ever written.
Richard was very malitutive and her parents unsupportive. Terribly sad. 😢
Rumour always had it after Karen's death that Richard pushed her too hard, in uk .
Karen didnt 'trill' she had natural vibrato stupid woman!! I have my LPs and need a player!! They were so easy listening music. An era to remember. ❤ ❤
Gosh our world lost her beautiful voice too long ago
Too many of us girls got bit by the anorexia bug
I used my savings to see them, HER, at the Sheraton Ballroom - Waikiki, only to receive news of their cancelation. I tore up the tickets ( lots of $$$$), knowing I'd never see her... ever. 😢
Strange that how some of the best drummers also can sing too. Phil Collins,Jeffrey Osborne,Adam Levine and of course Karen Carpenter.
She had such a beautiful voice. She didn't need to be a sexpot. To me she was beautiful just the way she was. Her singing voice is heavenly. There is another aspect to her talent is that she was an accomplished drummer and she beat out Led Zeppelin drummer John Bahnam and Ringo Star to be the number one drummer in the world. Although she was a star she didn't have the look.
No matter how happy the songs she sang were, you could always feel a tinge of sadness and longing in her voice....
I am 57 and saw them in concert at the Marriot Center i. provo Utah. Karens voice totally impacted my life when I was 8 years old!! They were both magical!! It was o e of the best moments of my lice!! Thrre will nevet be another Richard and Karen Carpenter!!❤️
And that was the down fall because everyone was seeing her and it hit Karen Carpenter hard

One of the best, if not the best female singers this century 🇬🇧
She died before this century began.
Well that ever lived 🇬🇧
@@enough-said973 Okay, I can agree with that.
This video reminded me that there was a time when musicians knew how to sing and play instruments. And the songs were about love. Not about shooting cops and punching hoes. My God, what has happened to music?
Your talking about rap not music.
@@gz9520 isn't it called "rap music"?
@@miamiman196 The term is an oxymoron.
She had the most beautiful voice.
😮
