I opened it up.like you did and cleand the corrosion with my fingers reconnected it and it worked thanks buddy!!!! I also sealed the module with silicone to avoid corrosion in the future. Look up how to stop water leak on silverado back door.
You can see water was seeping through on the rooftop. I have the same problem.
Same problem on my 2006 where is it located
