Video recap of the 2024 7th Annual Record Sealing Clinic held on Oct. 19th, 2024 at the A.I.D. Center Denver. Thank you to all our volunteer attorneys, DU Law students, and all our volunteers for making this the best clinic to date!
This was the first year that our legal volunteer attorneys were able to review eligibility (the meaning for "getting though all the cases" in the video) for all 66 participants of the clinic on the day of the clinic. In the past years, we would have to have a follow-up night with the attorneys to review any remaining cases/files that we were not able to finish reviewing for eligibility on the day of the clinic.
To date, we have heard back from most of the petitions/motions to seal from the Courts. We do have a few cases still pending where we are nudge the courts and ask for decision/determination. We have a few hearings set in January 2025. Expunge Colorado is preparing our clients and will be attending that court hearing before the Judge and DA. There will be a decision whether the motion to seal will be granted.
