You earned a subscriber. I think this comes from that situation of "i wanted a game like this but pve" and vice versa. GTA and Sea of Thieves are basically without market competition because no one dares or manages to get to their level of quality. Survival games have plenty of various PvP and PvE options so you can even find a Rust PvE clone in, say, 7 Days to Die or something. But with the game industry catering more and more to "players make the content" and "product as a live service", we get dryer and dryer experiences with sweatier and toxic communities. Once the saying "gamers, unite!" was heartwarming for charity events. Now "gamer" is pratically an insult because we segregate ourselves so much in games, toxicity and what not.

People hated this game when it was out. Shame.

Amazing how people thought it was absurd that someone would want a single player mode for a game who's 98% PVE content. So many players just love the phenominal, whimiscal pirate fantasy the game gives. PVP being randomly forced on you is gonna be irritating believe it or not.

I never followed the news of this game or even paid it any attention because I don't play pvp games. At all ever. But.. now that i've learned about safer seas? My friends and I might pick up a copy. Good to know. RIP to all the people who threatened to quit, but Rare already has your money. lol

Good morning, I live in Brazil, does this European version have subtitles in Portuguese like the digital version? I have already forwarded emails to Larian and they has not been able to respond to this.

If i order on Larian will i get the NTSC disc version? It shows a PAL version on their website.

I tried the PC version but controller support is terrible. For some reason, all the controls are jumbled up (such as The Start Button being the equip weapons, pressing the right stick pauses game, and the triggers where the only way to turn camera). There is no way to remap controls for controller on the PC version.

I literally had to force myself to play through RDR1 even though the second one was imo one of my greatest games of all time. Absolute snooze fest. 90% the missions pretty much boiled down to 'go there, kill that'. The ending was satisfying af tho. Still a never again for me

I personally did not like this game. Felt too woke-y for me. But the handling was improved compared to heat but I just did not like the presentation. The brake to drift model that they try to push on you does not help either. Good thing that you could turn it off and that they developed actual grip handling for this game. But the messaging and the weird political bits just makes the game feel very.... divisive and preachy... Oh yeah and they should've gone full out with the cartoony style if that was their gimmick. I would not mind a new auto-modelista like game.

Despite the bugs and whatnot I still liked this game more than carbon. It felt more mature and the extensive car list helped. It is a shame that the customization was cut down though but damn is the map nice. My favorite NFS map alongside UG2.

Yeah I get it rare had a vision for their game, but over time the toxicity just exploded. At first not every encounter meant PvP. Today though 9.5/10 you’re going to have someone litterally go out of their way to turbogrief and pop a cap in your ass while you’re just trying to take a screenshot of something pretty. Arena, when it came solidified the fact we can’t have nice things. Here it is a PvP mode, where the only thing you do is kill and sink each other to high hell. Well according to some players it was fun for a bit, but it became apparent that due to several issues and a lack of skilled matchmaking it was doomed. I’m happy rare have decided to change their vision. Safer Seas brings a more calmer and relaxed experience. Eve (another pvpve game) even has safety mechanics in play for most zones to prevent the obvious Griefing. The fact being they were absolutely stupid enough to allow it to go on for so long, in my opinion , honestly has destroyed the games reputation. Considering rare caved finally, shows it as well. They even removed forum posts because the toxic players flooded it with just about everything you said. On one last topic, the toxic streamers don’t help either. You see pace22, that guy honestly should have have his creator license revoked. I watch one of his streams, not only did he participate in horribly toxic behavior (like spawn camping, verbal insults). He basically tells everyone that doesn’t agree with him to go on safer seas. Other streamers (not all) tend to follow suit, and of course players who like him act like it. I know it’s a wall of text, but considering the sot community drowns out voices like mine when it comes to this topic. I agree with you, and December was the first time in two years I actually had fun.

Just replayed this game for the first time since childhood. I can say this game is a lot better than I remember it being. It might have a few graphical goofs when playing the original release. But I can say this game has a lot of personality through its visual direction, tone, setting and music. oh god the music... It also handles way better than I thought it would the cars feel a lot more controlable, steering is fluid, braking just works, There is a lot I have to say about this game but in short. I love it :)

Stone Age Gamers boxes are terrible. The paper is low quality and the colors are completely off. I make my own mini card board boxes because nobody provides PAL boxes and to make sure they meet my own standards.

RE5 gets so much hate I'm happy to see someone who likes it! I think at its core what makes this game good to me is that it's simply fun, it's a fun game to play by yourself but playing with someone else is just an absolute blast. It has its flaws, the writing is wonky and unpolished, and I think the stakes should've been higher story-wise considering it's the ending arc of the biggest antagonist RE has ever had. But at its core, THIS is resident evil. It's stupid and campy and cheesy, the franchise was NEVER fully serious, not even the first one. I think people tend to forget that because they fell in love with RE4, but even that game was stupid as hell, I love it. I'm just here to have a good time and RE5 delivers.

I absoluted hated it. It fits Ok for CoD fans action-only games aren't my cup of tea. No thinking, terrible story, no searching for what to do next, no puzzles, it's not even an horror game.

i would like them to just improved the graphics.. dont add or reduce anything to the story and gameplay.. just improved the graphics to nowdays standard..

are you in the states? I too ordered in December now I'm having trouble with my tracking, FedEx says a label was created but they never received the game. Larian is not giving me any info on the status. They say FedEx must've missed a scan, FedEx say it only received info on label. Did you have any of these issues?

This was the first Resident Evil I ever played. I remember us having a copy of Code Veronica when I was around 9 or 10, but I was such a scaredy cat back then. Then I remember seeing a lot of advertising for RE4 and thought it looked interesting, but we didn't have a Gamecube. Later on, in High School, I saw advertisement for 5, thought it looked interesting, got my copy, and never looked back. So, while it isn't the best Resident Evil, not by a long shot, it will always have a place in my heart.
