After more than 10 years off the bike, I am back on the saddle.
Unemployment Line (Uline)
Kevin, Alanna, Aaron and I ride Unemployment Line, or try to... I found this trail to be fairly unintuitive. It would likely take me quite a few laps to figure out the speed/braking required for the various jumps as it's not a matter of just going "trail speed".

First trip to Galbraith in Bellingham Washington. In this video Kevin, Alanna, Aaron, and I ride Evolution for the 1st and 2nd times. Looking forward to riding it again soon... A little more effort and I think I can clear all the jumps. www.trailforks.com/trails/evolution-8606/

Solo ride down Pipeline, a classic trail with insane amounts of woodwork on Mount Fromme.
Mt. Fromme: Lower Crippler & Lower Digger
Переглядів 1,3 тис.Рік тому
In this video Kevin G and I try our hand at Lower Crippler and Lower Digger - two trails on the west side of Fromme that could not be more different from one another. Kudos to the builders - Lower Crippler in particular has some new woodwork that must have taken a lot of hours.
Rupert! Alice Lake Trail network in Squamish BC
Переглядів 313Рік тому
In this video I ride Rupert for the very first time. This was my first time riding the Alice Lake trail network - which is home to a lot of "slab" trails. Rupert is not that. It's a black rated trail that is somewhere between tech & flow with a few rock features and some woodwork mixed in for good measure. Check it out on Trailforks here: www.trailforks.com/trails/rupert/ Big thanks to Kevin G ...
Corkscrewed
Переглядів 748Рік тому
Same trail. Same root. Same outcome. My friend Kevin and I rode Corkscrew a few times together in May. The conditions could not have been more different, but I still managed to go OTB after catching my back tire on the same root that pitched Kevin off his bike our first time through.
CBC in 2023
Переглядів 841Рік тому
It's been about 15 years since I've ridden this trail. It was rebuilt in 2022, I believe, and the new iteration is just as chunky/rocky as ever. There's about 750 meters of elevation change from the top of CBC to the Old Buck parking lot with your choice of any number of trails in between. It always makes for a long & fun day of riding.
Neds Atomic Dustbin
Переглядів 1,2 тис.Рік тому
In this video my friend Kevin and I ride Neds Atomic Dustbin. I rode this trail like 20 years ago. This is the rebuild. It's pretty fun. We did two laps on this day. This is video of the 2nd lap. We had to go back to get Kevin's riding glasses.

In this video Carl, Matt, and I head out to Maple Ridge to ride the Woodlot. This was a really fun lap. Tsuga flows straight into Snakes & Ladders, but unfortunately I didn't film that trail today.

In this video my friend Kevin (@ThisIsGoingDownhill ) and I warm-up on Crank it Up, a Whistler classic. To make the POV footage a little more interesting we decided to play a friendly game of chase. This was my first trip to Whistler in 12 years, and it shows, LOL.

Thats awesome !!! could you possibly have a link of the actual trails or route you took ? I had no idea watershed was that rad !
Thanks! Here’s a link to Trailforks. If you park near Pinewood elementary and enter there, the first trail I ride (Goats) starts right there. It kind of leads into Return of the Shedi. From there it’s a short climb north towards 64 Ave where Shedline starts. Delta Watershed on Trailforks www.trailforks.com/region/delta-watershed
I just bought a new dh bike I am going to the water shed tomorrow
How’d it go?
It IS a fun trail! It was the 1st NS trail I rode on my 1st fs bike - and it's been almost a year since then. (Of course, I've done many other NS trails since then.) Time for a re-do!
I have done 70 + jumps at Gravity Bowl, with 3 nasty wipe outs under my belt. It took me 4 visits to the park before i worked up my nerve to jump the gravity bowl, its much steeper than it looks on video, But now its a breeze to me . So nice living 5 minutes away from Watershed Park, its like a mountain bike Disneyland.
Gravity bowls lip has been re built recently…. Did not know until I was straight up in the air higher then I’ve ever been. Gave me a confidence boost landing it 😂😂. Same with me, multiple visits before I went down.
yes i seen the kid doing it, get a bit more air now. @@Columbian.sand.blasted.nostril

When are you going to Quebec? Those trails look interesting.
That looks like such a fun trail to session
Indeed it is. The climb back up via the fire road isn’t all that bad. It’s probably the steepest part of the fire road, but it doesn’t take too long.
Where is this trail
Mount Fromme. North Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada.
Definitely not in Quebec.
Nice vid! Your bike was so quiet. Or it was drowned out by the panting. Either way, great sound quality.
Yeah, I know. Still getting over a cold. I was gassed.
Any tips on gravity bowl? I’ve been trying to do it but can’t bring myself doing it. Also nice riding
Thank you. Where are you at with that? Have you dropped into the Gravity Bowl but are having trouble committing to the jump? Or are you having trouble committing to the drop in?
@@therealridedmc the problem is dropping in even though I know that’s just fear but my friend did and he started fishtailing and never finished the bowl, ever since then it made it more scary 😂😂😂
Your video made it look so easy but in person it’s HUGE
@@Capta1n.K even though I’ve ridden it dozens if not hundreds of times I’m always a bit nervous dropping in. It takes me 3 or 4 runs to finally stop tapping my brake and hitting the jump at full speed. My advice to drop in is to get comfortable doing it as slow as possible. Don’t even worry about the jump. Just get comfortable riding down it. Start slow and as you get comfortable and use less brake you can think about the jump. It’s always gonna be there. Take you time.
@@therealridedmc thank you! 😁
Congrats mate
Thank you!
@@therealridedmc ✊🤘
You should try the holly pump track in Ladner
I’ll check it out. Probably take my sons DJ bike though.
Nice...😊
Thanks 😊
Nice, i bought the capra 3 last October!
a solid place for a first ride. I love my capra (2020)
I’m heading to the water shed today
Enjoy! Shedline is a bit loose and dusty at the top, but otherwise running well.
Ok thanks
I am going tomorrow
My daughter's riding a dual 29'er (Transition Spire) and butt buzz isn't any issue for her. She's 10 years old and 4'10". You'll be fine.
The Spire is a sick bike - lucky girl! Cheers.
Nice! I also just recently rode this for the first time.
Been a very long time since I rode the Shore. Thanks for bringing back good memories!😊👍
Dang that looked like a sore slam!!
I was sore for a couple days. Lol.
I bet man, I nearly did the same thing in same spot last time I was there 😅😅
Oh, the dryrony.
Oof. I'm always suspicious of that root! I guess it's for good reason.
just don't be on your brakes at that point and you'll be fine
And that is what I expect to happen each time I attempt that feature no matter the condition.
Great ride dude, looks like a fun trail 🤟
Great ride
Damn this is a nice looking trail, may give this a shot next time on Seymour 👌sweet riding
Nice. That’s a long trail.
Awesome video! We just rode CBC and the new Ned’s rebuild yesterday! Trail seems to be holding up well so far and is riding super fast!
CBC to Neds would be an epic lap. In fact, adding CBC at the start of any lap on Seymour would make for an epic ride - something I'm not fit enough to attempt without a shuttle!
Yeah exactly! CBC down to any of the other lower trails makes for an epic lap. There were 8 of us that went this past weekend and we definitely shuttled it haha. We’re not fit enough to climb that either 😂
Some epic looking trails! I’ll have to make sure to get out to the island soon to ride. Keep it up dude! Awesome content 🤙🏻
Thank you - and right back at you. I really enjoy what you guys are doing.
That was a super fun day. I still can’t believe you recorded that voice over on the toilet. Great video by the way.
Cool video!
Thanks!
❤
Nice vid! 3:34: my nemesis on that trail, haha
Excellent!!❤
Awesome ride buddy!! 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼🍻
Thanks man!
Such a good trail. I live right by it
It's a true classic. I just wish there was a short trail to ride before it as a warm up - because I tell you even though I am warm from the climb/push up to the power lines it can be tough dropping in cold to all those log rides.
Awesome riding!! ❤
Thanks ✌️
Awesome ride guys!! I was there on Friday! Solo trip as a few buddies bailed. Last stretch of crank it up, I went otb!! Really bad!! Haven’t posted the crash yet…but I might…
The last stretch of CIU has some jumps that can throw you funny. How you’re okay.
@@therealridedmc I’ve ridden it only 3x but I think I was going too fast coupled with bad form and then BAM!!! Hard impact!! Bike flew 20ft into the bush! Few scratches/scrapes..sore ribs. I was wearing a chesty..I will post it in a few days. See you on the next one 🍻❤️
Any tips on how to find the trailhead?
It was my first & only time there so if I tried to give you directions they would be terrible. I’m like 50/50 if I could get back there on my own. But if you use the heat map function on Trailforks you can easily see where the trail starts. That part is not blacked out - but parts of the trail are.
Amazing (in a sort of horrific way)... Puts our 'Deliverance' to shame... May be something to do with it being on a mountain when ours is on a hill. (about 200m decent but still worth the videos).
What process you riding?
2019 Process 153 CR/DL in 27.5” wheel size. I’ve installed a -2 degree Works Angleset to modernize the Geo a bit.
Awesome ride guys! 12yrs? Didn’t miss a beat!! What day was this?? I want to go 1 more time!!
This was September 8th or 9th. We went mid week to try and avoid the lines. It mostly worked.
Looks super fun and pretty flowy at parts. Bullet Dodger is a nice long one too.
Next time we ride Burke I will make sure Matt or Richie join us. We can leave a vehicle at the bottom so we can finish up on Bullet Dodger in a sort of 'semi-shuttle'.
Nice one!! 🙌🏻
Thank you!
Great riding buddy 👌
Thank you!
Trails looked fun. Good job for a guy who doesn’t like tech.🤔
I survived. I didn’t earn any points for speed or style but I made it down in one piece. That’s a win in my books!!!
fuck yeah!!!
Ive been on this trail once, it's a scary ride! Nice work man! So dusty now!
Fun ride guys! Did I see what I think I saw!!? Did you ride the rock feature!!? Amazing :)
I rode a couple. I did not ride the one in the thumbnail. I rode the easier option to the right of it - which was still plenty steep for me. LOL.
wooo, i wouldn't ride those wood features in the wet for sure, not even in dry :D, nice video 👌
