No there is just an abundance of them of the East coast and plenty of animals feast on them and the shells wash up with the tide.

@@garyyakamoto2648 was scary to begin with, still not sure of some of the laws! The road surface around some roundabouts... Very interesting!

@@MulleredTravels Based on what I asked around, the laws are the same as in neighboring countries (except in Greece where the roundabouts entering works differently). I still don't know if Albanians break the rules due to the fact of being careless or they perhaps they don't even understand them (especially roundabouts, yield signs, etc). On the first day, I tried to get out Tirana in order to go to Pogradec, and the direction to get into highway got me through a neighborhood with very tight lanes... man, even though I was driving 5 miles per hour, I thought I'm getting into somebody's kitchen, parking my car to their dinner table. Same experience coming from Lalzi beach going to Tirana, the entrance to Tirana highway was through some private homes. I was scared I was getting into somebody's yard or somebody's vegetable garden :) :)

@@garyyakamoto2648 I would guess they sort themselves behind the wheel, lovely people until they get in a car then everything is urgent and happens now ! Those small roads in and around the city are horrendous! Hated the driving in and around Tirana. Out on the open roads much better for sure.

@@MulleredTravels I avoided driving within Tirana city 100% of the time. I used the car only to go to diff beaches or other cities, and as soon as I arrived to my destination, I parked the car there for the rest of the day till I left. Driving in towns or cities in Albania is too much fun, couldn't handle it :)
