Thank You.

Great video! Thanks for the content! Anything different you'd recommend for a gas unit? I've got a four year old gas unit that I've never serviced. Do the burners and thermostats need to be replaced on it already?
Thanks! For your gas unit I doubt that the burners or thermostat would need to be replaced. An annual tank flush, and keep an eye on the anode rode they usually need replacing every 3-5 years. The flame sensor and burner assembly are the only thing that may need a cleaning from time to time. 4 years is still super new so if your not having issues your likely good for a while :)
I use a penny, honest Abe keeps you legal
lol took me a minute to figure out the Abe but I got there
this is incredible, its like total magic! I wish I could use this in my landscaping haha
this is awesome! I would love to see your take on "how to use a stud finder right" haha I use it and still end up drilling till I strike gold haha
I know right! That’s what happens to me. That’s why I love this pop thing.
I had no idea how small the pump was! This is such good advice, that would cost you soooo much at a shop! Thank you!
The pump was like 15$ on Amazon and on many vehicles you can access it from above so removing the tire is not always necessary. It’s a surprisingly simple thing to replace.
What direction do I wind it up
Which ever side has the tension. Or experiment with winding it with no cord and see which side would pull the cord in. Or just make a mental note before you remove the old cord
Yeah... ill stick to the stud finder. It beep when i get close to it
If it works well for you absolutely. I always have bad luck with my stud finders so I am enjoying the simplicity of this pop thing.
Thank you
🧲 1 dollar solution
It’s funny that you mention that. I actually tried to with a magnet off the fridge which is fairly strong it’s about 1/4” thick. Doesn’t work for some reason.
Need a rare earth magnet@@TheHandyHomeOwner-Adam
Can you use it on a lawn without killing the grass ? Thanks
No I would not use it on anything you care about. If you are careful maybe but it will kill your grass if it touches it.
So you need to check before they install the tires? But, they don't allow you to get into the workshop.
I ask them for the manufacturer date before I let them put them on. I have had some guys try to give me a hard time but when i go to a reputable place they know it’s important and will tell me without hesitation. It’s common to see the tires are within a year or two after their manufacture date due to over seas shipping etc.
@TheHandyHomeOwner-Adam okay. I am going to Walmart on Sunday for Goodyear tires. They updated only 1 shipped 4 days ago, not the 3 !
Nice video 👍
Thank You! 😀
Tire Room says we love you... keep it up..... ❤
I’m not sure what the tire room is but thank you :)
Tires stored incorrectly ....as shown on this video. Tires should not be stored on top of each other.
Good point, if they are being stored long term it a good idea to rotate them around so the rubber does not deform
I just saw another short of new fresh tires being unloaded off a truck deformed but when inflated were completely fine
Wow . I didn’t know . Thank you for that awesome tip .
Thanks!
I was running old used tires on a farm truck had three blow out in a month no more
Wow! Hopefully you were not hurt. I have been lucky so far (knock on wood) and have never had a tire blow out on me yet.
As long as they been cool had no sun light its perfectly fine
The rubber may degrade slower when stored indoors, but regardless age related safety concerns still exist. I have checked and many manufacturers directly state that the compounds degrade over time regardless of being stored indoors and even if they don’t show visible signs of dry rot.
Built in A/C in those jeans ❄️
True!
Thank you for the information
My pleasure
Useful 👍
Thanks a lot
I have 8 year old tires showing no signs of dry rot because I coat them every 6 months with with silicone spay and it protects and even rejuvinates rubber
Interesting, I did not know that was a thing
I forgot to ask, is it like a specific product or is it like a generic silicone spray? I might like to try this
@@TheHandyHomeOwner-Adam any silicone spray works. I've been using cheap silicone lube spray from Walmart for years
@@TheHandyHomeOwner-Adam I also use it once a year on the door seals, and the ones on my truck are 23 years old now, still pliable, and seal well
Hello again, so I have been doing some research on this since you peaked my interest. I thought I would share stuff I found with you. First I did find that of course like you said silicone is a legit way to protect rubber and when used on tires does just that. Some mention about silicone causing slick treads if it has not dried completely ( no idea if you’ve noticed that ). I also checked some products and spoke with the Chat GPT (AI) was saying that the products that are specifically made for treating tires every couple months are similar price to silicone sprays but may have additional advantages over the silicone spray on its own. (Due to additives) So I got the impression it may be better of to buy the products since it basically the same price or cheaper.(I’m not sure) Anyhow I’m going to buy some silicone and start spraying all my rubber seals and whatever I have. Thanks for this tip!
Thank you for the great information I check my tires all the time for the date code
I think it’s a great thing that a lot of people don’t know, last week I went to buy a slightly used set of winters for my wife and the tires were 8 years old but he had got them from the store a year before.
Hahahaha. No.
Borax and boric acid are toxic to insects and microbes, for which it sometimes is used.
Interesting, maybe i will try it in a homemade pesticide some day. I know that the salt and vinegar are both also toxic to insects and probably microbes. I think any substances that works to kill vegetation are probably not bug friendly.
Definitely NOT PERMANENT. I used 75% vinegar, along with salt and dawn dish washing liquid. Killed the surface grass and plant coverage quickly and completely. However, after a week, everything started growing again.
Ohh wow 75% vinegar. I wish I could get my hands on stuff that strong. I’m not sure if it possible to get permanent just cause grass and what not always grows back. But, I have best luck with multiple applications. When the stuff that starts to show signs of regrowth I hit it again and works much better.
Love this. Been so windy here 🇬🇧 every day this year so you can't use a standard weedkiller safely. I would much rather use these ingredients anyway. Cheers 👍
Glad you like it! Hope it works out great for your needs :)
The soap helps to stick to the vegetation, so it doesn't blow or wash off.
That’s a great point. Definitely don’t want to forget the soap
Just used. Normal vinegar.....salt.... Bit of dishwashing liquid.HOT SUNNY DAY.. Everything.. DEAD. not a problem 👍👍👍 MARVELOUS
Awesome. Sunny weather seems to help a lot. 👍
On a very hot and sunny day, the process will accelerate significantly. If you spray in the morning, it will turn brown and dry by the afternoon.
Great point. I have noticed that the sun definitely helps speed up the process and makes it worth waiting for nice weather.
Maan! I have a rock theme front yard and every year i have encroaching weeds that find there way between the rocks. You cant effectively weed wack them without sending rocks flying in all directions, a mower cant really effectively get to them. And I used roundup and then you just have a dried out weed. I never thought of using fire, thanks man 😎👍
Awesome hopefully it works out well for you. Let me know how it goes!
Doesn't the vinegar (and maybe the salt as well) deteriorate limestone driveway gravel?
Great question, so I looked into this and according to the AI this mixture should not significantly deteriorate and the effects should be minimal. I’m guessing the salt is not high enough quantity. The vinegar I honestly think would be less concerning then they salt just because it’s generally considered a safe and milder alternative on standard household items. Just my 2 cents tho. Hope this helps.
I've used this a few times, minus the Borax. Works' well, just remember to apply after rain, and not to water after Applying it. Its hard to fine a good amount of Vinegar and at a higher concentration of 10%, I've found 30%, but that was about $20, i think.. it was up there at least. Also, careful using it around Plants you want to grow.
I actually ran into the same issue regarding the vinegar. I struggle to find it in higher concentrations which I would love to try. Everywhere says they carry it but never have any.
@@TheHandyHomeOwner-Adam where are you at? I've found it at Home Depot and Lowes. But that's only 30%.
I’m in Ontario Canada. We don’t get access to a lot of the god stuff here, which is why I’m always looking for alternatives. Our Home Depots have a “Zep” industrial cleaning vinegar but they don’t list the concentration of acid and I think it actually some sort of mixture. Amazon has some that claim to be higher concentration but they are expensive. I’m tempted to make some with citric acid instead of the boric acid to see the difference.
"STOP Using Chemicals" *uses chemicals* Just because it doesn't say it's for weed killing, doesn't mean it isn't chemicals you're putting into your soil.
Boron is a naturally occurring mineral. Technically all “minerals”are considered chemical compounds. The stuff is literally made out of a non toxic naturally occurring mineral+salt+oxygen. And it labeled as non toxic. If that makes you uncomfortable feel free not to use it.
I’ve got some nuisance vines around my house gonna give this a shot.
Hope it works out, vines can be a pain may need multiple applications to kill the roots if it’s resilient. Luckily this stuff is cheap and can be made up easily whenever you need it.
In the Netherlands you can't buy Roundup anymore because it causes Parkinson.
That’s interesting, we have very strict regulations on this stuff in Canada as well. I didn’t know about the Parkinson’s tho! I just finished trying some homemade stuff that I should be posting a video on in the next couple days. Maybe this stuff will be another option you could try out.
I don't like using roundup but as they say " no replacement for displacement." It works, it lasts, and for certain areas its my only choice. Also, its affordable in concentrate form. Most of all, with the right backpack sprayer and respirator it's quick to apply.
I agree it does the trick. I find it expensive tho I’m not sure if it’s a location thing but we also use a lot. I’m in the process of experimenting with a combination of natural acids with good results so far. I plan to make a video on it in the future hopefully.
👍
Thanks :)
I need a jet engine for my yard
Haha well this thing definitely sounds like one.
NOPE, this just burns (cooks) the leaf, the roots will survive and prosper. Ask me how I know. LOL. You just waste time and fuel for a temporary fix. Burning green plant leaf is not easy either. However, in the spring, this is a great way to remove old dead leaf before new leaves grow.
I think they are all temporary fixes, unless the driveway is redone properly. When I use chemicals IE round up the weeds will still grow back. BUT it’s way more expensive especially with our Canadian funny money. The driveway currently still looks good so I’m pleased this far :) Also I was curious after reading this and went to do a little more research and apparently they have studied this and the heat is supposedly very effective noting that depending on the type and size of weed multiple applications may be required.
If you overheat and ruin your blacktop driveway, that's your own "ASPHALT!"
Hahah that made me laugh
Looks like it works AND is fun...HOW DARE YOU?!
I know right :)
Really need to invest in one of these when I finally get my own place!
Absolutley!
That’s super neat! It did a great job!
Looks great!!!

Looks great!
