Enjoying hearing you talk about AVPD again.
Thanks - my sense if self worth (or rather the lack there of) keeps me away from making videos quite often. But I try to do the December videos even if I have to find a way to stay in the background.
You need a better microphone
Please do a video on nihilism What are your thoughts on having a purpose in life ?
@26:20 you've mentioned how avpds would rarely ever ask for divorce and that rings true for me (a 37yo schizoid) and my 37yo avpd ex wife. But what if i unfortunately and maybe regretfully initiated the divorce and she's totally closed the door on getting back together even with a shared toddler. She also seem to have an unhealthy scarcity mindset with money as she cleared my bank account and still feels victimized and resents me.
@@hausafilmstv That's really hard. A lot of people with AvPD, once they've ended a relationship, that's it. I'd see a therapist to work through what lead to the break up in the first place. People don't get back together unless both people have made major changes to how they approach their differences. Good luck.
@@ck2d That totally makes sense. Unfortunately our couple therapist was a major catalyst in my decision to end it because after a year of paying for it both financially and in the sessions as I was always the bad guy. Oh well, it is what it is. Thank you so much for your content, wish there was someone like you for schizoids too but love learning about AvPD as well from a real person's perspective. Great idea to repurpose your popular videos, don't worry about the length. Look forward for more :)
Thank you to @ajaynarayanaswamy3073 for suggesting this series.
Welcome
The music is distracting though
@ajaynarayanaswamy3073 I would have thought the perpetual building sequences would be more distracting.
@@ck2d i was listening
I'd appreciate a video on AVPD and cognitive dissonance
I knew when i first started following you and all your night time walk cat videos that i had figured it out what i had and that yesss there was someone out there just like me. But unfortunately for me being a man and taking my walks late at night ended up being used against me by the police and having the finger pointed at me that i am responsible for all the thefts in my neighborhood. Because i am sooo aware i ended up figuring out that its actually been the police doing all the stealing all along and for more then twenty years. Its called “the slow hustle”. So they’ve set me up ever since i caught them which has been 8 years now. Because of my agoraphobia and avpd it was always hard to try to say something to one of my neighbors about it. So before i could ever muster up the courage to tell them what i had discovered the police got into their ears before i could and now they alll think im the one behind it cause i always come off looking suspicious when i don’t look people in the eye and run back inside my home when someones around. So while i was unaware they set me up and would take pictures to make it seem like i was stalking which goes completely against avpd. Anytime i saw a female approaching me at night while i was on my walks trying to lose this stupid weight i would either cross the street or try to change blocks if i could just so they would not be threatened. Thats pretty thoughtful and thats why it is so funny to me these taxtics thayve been using against me trying to cancel me and scare me away from the neighborhood. Problem is im a stubborn Italian man who has no fear especially when i know im innocent. Theyve tried to run me over and all kinds of other entrapments. Im just waiting to be raided arrested or sued by my neighbors. All this to say thank you for posting on UA-cam. Something i would have a hard tome doing but you allowed me to fogure out that yes 🙌i have avpd and i am the way i am cause of it. Maybe tou think. Obody watches uour videos but this guy hhas for alittle while now and ots always nice to see you posting and knowing your doing well. So thank you for the posts!! Rob Hopefully i wont be replying from jail one day for something i haven’t done. Sheesh. Life has been a strange one
I had police try to pick me up too. Supposedly someone called it in, at 2 in the morning, when I made the same walk for years. It was just harassment. The only cat I have left from those walks is Poppy, the big one who needed it. I've just taken him to the vet and they again are concerned about his weight. But I moved to a road with a high speed limit so I can't take him for walks anymore. Percy, the stealthy cat who rarely turned up in the videos but always went for walks, now lives with my son. Good luck avoiding the police. :)
@@ck2d I was stopped earlier this year walking down the street because I matched the description of someone trying to break into a car in the middle of the afternoon in suburbia. Cop said they got a call about a guy in an orange t-shirt and tan pants. I had an orange cap and tan pants. Close enough. Turned out the guy owned the car and the lady was just some neighbor nut with a phone. Anyway on his return trip the cop apologized. Fine with me though. They have to answer calls, it's their job. But yeah being out on the street can make you a target. Coupla weeks ago a carload of kids kept going by and tooting their horn. Nothing better to do. People will pick on you for no reason.
Sounds about right lol
你美呆了!
I could hear you very well. I enjoy listening to you and hope that you will be doing more in the future. 😊
AVPD and cognitive dissonance video please
Thank you for this
Would be good if you could revisit some of your older videos and offer new perspectives based on your experiences since then.
Audio issues, not able to get anything

How is your writing going lately?
Hope all is well I wish you can do a video on relationships or dating I was recently dating a female with this disorder and I felt like she self sabotaged what we had it really hurt but I didn’t take it personal But glad to have came across your page
I work as a professional organizer in people’s homes (company finds clients for me), but because I have to be there for hours it can often feel like pure torture. Mostly it’s 4 hour sessions, but some days are more. I’m no longer taking on new clients and staying only with people I know like me. However, I’m severely under-earning, have back issues and not financially independent. Need a career change badly 😣
We neurodivergent people probably are a pita, but they are trained to know that pita's are part of the job. I had one nurse tell me that I was no way the worse pt. she'd ever had. Not only are pita's common but part of the human condition and that's life. I'm getting a neuropsych eval this year but won't have the results till like September. For some reason they take a long time. 99% I have ADHD but it's not rare for other things to show up too. I'm glad you posted I haven't seen a lot of videos come up from you lately.
Are you recovering well?
@@ck2d Yeah no problems. The heart surgery I had is basically day surgery nowadays. No pain meds necessary, the next day I could have even lived without tylenol but I took some anyway. I'm taking it easy but it's all right for me to be on my feet and doing things. My resting HR is fast around 90 or a little less but that is normal and will take 1mo to a year to settle down. It's crazy; my heart is real quiet now, no loud thumps or arrhythmias, just fast. I had to be awake while in the lab at first because they have to stick instruments to your back, so going through the door was scary when it opened up. Then they knocked me right the eff out lol and I was walking within 1/2 hr of waking up. I guess I was in there for 6 hours. I was at the hosp. for a total of about exactly 12 hours and then back home in my own bed. And I think I feel better already and wonder if I'd had mild afib for like all my life even when not in a blatant episode. The arrh. can still come back but I hope this is good enough. otherwise they will have to do it again, but so far so good. Thanks for asking being isolated and having no friends can suck sometimes.
@@engleharddinglefester4285 I'm glad it worked out so well for you!

Good to see a video from you 🙂
Can you compare and contrast avoidant and schzoid personality disorder ?
The clearest difference is that people with AvPD have an intense longing for relationships but just can't allow themselves to have them, while people with SPD are good without them. I have a video about the differences in my archives.
Avoidant by choice ?
@@ajaynarayanaswamy3073 If it's a choice it's not a personality disorder.

It was so good to hear from you again. Thank you for sharing. Very good advice.
Yep I'm having a "minimally invasive" heart procedure in a month. If not for my wife I'd probably be sent to a rehab for a week. Otherwise I don't have anybody.
Good luck with your surgery!
@@ck2d It's a cryo-ablation for afib. Arrival time is 6:45 am. General anesthesia and they intend to send me home the same day about 1:30 pm. I've been kicking and screaming against it for years but the arrhythmia like ectopics that pound so hard they wake me up is well, I've had enough. And I may need more than one procedure and I can wind up with a pacemaker. Not my idea of a good time but I'm getting old I might as well start being old. lol
☄️ thank you for your videos! ❤

Between fake plants and cars... that cat is not excited. 😢 They need to go out and try to fetch butterflies!
She's 15, has cancer, and is nearsighted, so birds are too small for her to see but she loves watching cars out the window. And the only fake plant is attached to her perch. She's never been outside. I adopted her last December after her owner died. She was severely underweight, but she's doing okay now. However the disease could overtake her quickly at any time because she's still tiny. She's absolutely delightful. I feel honored to take care of her to the end.
Yes, I'm confused ;-)

i hope you’re better now ❤
Did you step out and end up in Scotland? 🙂
Yeah no. St Patrick's Day parade. I think they were a wee bit confused lol
@@ck2d That makes sense, the Irish do bagpipes as well 🙂 Our saint's day is 1st March, St. David's day, here in Wales. We have a parade through the local town and a load of activities throughout the day. Kids dress up in traditional Welsh clothing for school, which looks great to see. Our parades are mostly drums. No pipers here. I'm not sure if the Welsh have any traditional musical instruments, I'll have to look that up.
@@ck2d Traditional Welsh instrument is the Crwth. I've never seen one. - ua-cam.com/video/7yYg_7cm0Rs/v-deo.html
I don't think I've seen one of those either, definitely never heard one, but with the number of museums I've visited, who knows, I might have.
i also think i have avpd and also have an autistic son have you doubt if your real problem is autism?
No I've been tested.
En español no hay información de la experiencia de personas con trastorno de la personalidad evitativa
I've talked to people from Spain with the disorder. I'm sorry I don't know what the translation is. If you know the name, try searching under that to see if you can find information.
Can you talk about AVPD and malingering ?
I read The Body Keeps the Score. Worthwhile. 450 pages. I made a point of not remembering the date of my mother's death. I do know what it is, but I don't think about it on the day. My biggest regret and biggest mistake I ever made was I did not stay away from my family when I moved out. Big mistake. You might benefit from Art Forentyna's channel. She has a narcissistic mother. Boy howdy does she ever. She's a writer too.
I've heard of the book. I had no idea what day it was. It all made sense why I was so extreme in my mood when I realized what day it was. Forget about my mother, it was the anniversary of one of the most stressful days in my life. Seeing my sister for the first time in like 15 years. Being guilt tripped by my cousins. Having to clean out her apartment in 3 days. And being massively pissed off at her medical "care." It was a bad day.
@@ck2d Yup that's a bad day. I remember you talking about it. Esp. that part about your sister. Plus I don't know how you get the apt. cleaned out so fast. It was way way too much responsibility to be on one person's shoulders. My T recommended the book. It's very popular. It's about childhood trauma esp the chronic kind when living with someone who is a daily stressor. I've been dx'd with c-ptsd. You have it no doubt. :)
@@engleharddinglefester4285 Yes I've bern diagnosed with cptsd too. The real kind, not the one some wackadoodle is peddling on youtube. But to me the whole alphabet soup of diagnosis doesn't matter to me. It's all more or less the same, and the therapy overlaps. So long as you work on the root issue the rest will improve. For example, I have depression - due to my AvPD lifestyle. I can take all ghe meds they want to throw at me. It won't make a difference because the problem causing the depression won't change.
@@ck2dIn the book he mentions linking up with people in a kind of rhythm. It's about getting in with people and getting in synch with them, like dancing or acting. I think card games or board games will help too. I don't play games, but I am/was a guitar player. I truly feel like myself when I play in a group. Haven't done it in years but it's so remarkable I remember how good I felt the last hoot I played at. For all I know, sports games are good; being in the crowd and participating sort of as a member of it. Car races. Maybe war too. Observe there's a rhythm to machine guns.
