Fresh restoration with everything powder-coated or polished. 67.5mm Wiseco piston, cylinder head done by Jerry Hall's Precision Racing; Mikuni TMX 38mm flat slide carb with custom air box eliminator kit. Curtis Sparks T.T. Racing pipe with ESR silencer. Extended swingarm 4 (1985 style) with 1" wheel spacers.
Looks nice!
Sounds lean af
That’s one bad ass bike and you are quite the mechanic wish you were my neighbor how the heck did you get the motor in with no damage to anything there all a pain to get out and in
At this point, you can restore one of these with your eyes closed! Awesome!. I saw this one sold for $7,500. Is that the price for all the ones you restore like this?
Yes, this one sold on Bring a Trailer. First time using them, good experience. I have an 83 200X and a 86 Tri-Z in the restoration in the process that will be coming soon!
Arizona Boy right there. I need to get with you one of these days on my 86 R. I live in Queen Creek and collect Honda ATC’S.

Beatiful job 💪🏻💪🏻💪🏻 thanks for sharing.

What if I have a… 1986 Kawasaki 185? With no mufukin rear suspension… or maybe we put it back together and have 3-4 bolts left over???? Ehhh … just chuck em over there 😆
Byrd? Guy? Leave one out? 😉
Beautiful build ...But the handle bars are dookie, to each their own !!
Those are nice Finish Line signs hanging in the back there …. Leave one out for Jimmy … 😉
Nice work Dan. Is that the one I sold you last year?
Amazing transformation
Where did you find most of the rebuild parts for this? I bought a 1986 250r that I'm going to rebuild with my kids and I was curious on stuff like the master cylinder rebuild and calipers,
It’s built like the 87 was supposed to be like
There it is thank you sir so grateful so much memories just in that picture right there 11:24 wow thank you 🙏🌎🌏🌍
Just perfect brother 🇺🇸
Is that tool box on backwards. I’m not taking anything away you do assume work bro. I’m only watching cuz im in the middle of my 86 250r getting ideas. Good job.😊
Sweet build, brother. When I was a kid, these were my Mount Everest of toys. Unfortunately, they were beyond my parents' purchasing power. I did eventually get a used cr250 in the early 90s though.
do you still have? any chance you wanna sell it or trade it ,? I love it, very nice job.
Nice work! You have any reliable sources for engine work? I have an 83 250R and I’m located in North County San Diego.
Man she sure is perty
You always do awesome work. Do you offer your services to the public?
Gretchen!
Nice build brother.
Nice bike needs a skip plate
Nice man. I just got one but I need new seats. Do you know where I can get some
That was a great build video. The sound of that 250R cruising down the road was music to my ears man.
Excellent build great choice of music
Very nice
Would love to have a link to the parts you bought on the suspension
Awesome totally awesome!! Thank you for reminding me of the greatest decade ever the 80’s. I have only one problem get rid of that Pittsburgh Steelers rally towel
Perfect Soundtrack. Amazing Restoration
Aside from an 86 this is about the top of the totum pole for vintage bikes that deserve saving. Many were abused and neglected but Honda built um right and it shows. How sweet it would be if someone built an aluminum frame to resemble the dirt bike. Something about rolling into the throttle made it hard to stop. Before you know it you are going way faster than you should be. The factory oatsu tires were hard to beat also.
Niiiicccee
Clean
You have a very special three wheeler that's to me number one after that is Yamaha benchee and that's it u have the best that's what you call a keeper
wow great job! My step father just passed "RIP Tom" and he left me his 1983 250r atc (been asking for years if he wanted to get rid of it but never said yeah not until now) it is in good shape for sitting for years all original and ready to be brought back to life. I've rebuilt one (an 83 actually) many years ago I did the whole restore, powder coat, rebuild, new plastics and all the good stuff so I was getting ready to do it again but I am got blown away by the increase in parts cost. last one I rebuilt I paid $150 for front and rear plastics and now it's 450 for just the rear wow the cost is gonna bankrupt me lol not really but it is more expensive then the first time. oh BTW my rebuild was a great build but no where near as nice as yours you did a fantastic job it looks brand new my hats off to you my friend.
#10945 nice, rebuild, in many ways its better than factory. Great job!
Can I ask what size tires you got on? Front and rear
Now just don't ride it in California cause the green police will throw you in prison. Nice build that's freaking beautiful. My dad's 250R was stolen the week he paid it off back in 1989 . Someone stole it out of the carport road it to the hills about 5 miles away parked it in an abandoned farm shed ....in 2005ish he gets a call from the police saying they recoverd it. The thing sat rusting all those years in a shed he drove past almost daily. Sad thing is it was most likely a punk kid that my older sisters hung out with . I miss those days , dad always took us riding and we all had bikes. No matter how broke we were he made a way to go on holiday weekends.
Man! You have done a remarkable job. Listening to the music, watching your slides fade in and out, I felt like a parallel video to tears for fears everybody wants to rule the world. Haha. That's awesome!
Love the video an the toons. nice build I rode alot back in my younger years grew up as a teenager on these good times. Awsome .
Son: I want to ride it Me: this gives me a Boner..
I saw a brand new one for $1600.00. Is that a good price.
This was so satisfying, Thank you for sharing and keeping atc’s alive!!
Shocks blue color also paint or powder? Ty in advance
Would you be able to share some details or point to details as to, how you pained the frame? Is it powder coated?
Where did you get the plastic glass from
This video is helping me get an idea where everything goes and everything else I need. I started with just a frame and don't have one to look at.
I have others on my channel, and more coming soon..
