Hi! My name is Terry Leigh and I am a Celtic harpist and singer from the Pacific Northwest. I hope you'll enjoy the music on this channel. I play original harp tunes, Celtic and international folk songs, and some classical themes. You'll find relaxing instrumental harp music, a cappella choral pieces, and harp and vocal songs. Here in the Pacific Northwest, the swans have returned for their autumn visit! In honor of the occasion, I decided to bring back one of my favorite early original pieces, this time with some added rain sounds in the beginning for added atmosphere. :)

The Parting Glass: For Eleanor

I sang this reflective cover of "The Parting Glass" as a memorial for my late friend and former neighbor. She recently passed away, and in honor of what would have been her 84th birthday, I put together this video with pictures of things she loved. Although she is gone, her memory - and her cat - remain with me.

Sweet voice and tasteful harp accompaniment. In Gaelic the 'bh' diphthong is sounded as a 'v', not like Greek 'gamma' (which sound is spelled 'dh'). Otherwise, this is a very nice production. '

I don't know how you made it through the last verse - looks like such a tongue twister but your voice just floated over it so effortlessly. Celtic languages look heavy but sound like a feather pillow.

You seem to be an introvert. Alas, I have no tips on being relaxed in front of the camera as I am more of a behind the camera person. Your voice is actually incredibly relaxing to listen to.
