It's kind of tragic that aura created these AI and purposely stifled them so they wouldn't be able to rebel against her. Perhaps she did it out of benevolence but she still left them incomplete while forcing her responsibilities on them.
Not necessarily. They’re broken looking because of the fire that torched the company years before the gu games started. The messed up look was due to Aura doing her best to stitch them back together.
They were basically her guardians that she tried restoring.
@@DarkEclipse23 Aura is a literal computer god with all the processing power of the future internet on her side if she didn't finish coding them it was on purpose.
@@emeraldpichu1 I think Aura was weakened by the fire as well. In G.U., she couldn't use her body to help get rid of the problems running around. Oddly enough, in Project x Zone 1 & 2, Aura even more powerful than the main Dot.HACK// timeline version.
@@Knight41b logistically speaking any weakness on her behalf is only a result of an unwillingness to act. She's a perfect self-rewriting AI if there's a problem with her it's a refusal to fix it not a lack of ability to you need to understand that this kind of thing could just self-replicate across the internet and basically take over the world The issue isn't that she chooses not to it's that she chooses to do less than the minimum to get ahead of the evil corporation trying to use her and the AI that spawn from all the fragmented programs that she never dealt with when the whole fiasco started in the first place.

The Azure Knights are security programs made from incomplete memories and data of legendary heroes. Imagine if Aura remembers all of Kite, Orca and Balmung and with complete data. It would be a more badass return. Interestingly, the triple bladed swords were once used by the Original Kite during his fight with Corbenik. I was expecting more lore reveals in Vol.4 of G.U. but turns out it's just a final battle expansion. Hope we get .hack//LINK remake soon.
i can't find the original announcement trailer from e3 over a decade ago, but the scene where haseo first encounters kite had a really cool effect where the tri blades would "grow" from the center rather than just abruptly open up. I remember seeing that for the first time and thinking it was the coolest thing ever.
I would love a remaster of kite journey(the first 4 games)as well as link in English and available on switch as well
The massive problem is that the data was lost in the big fire that torched the company when they started creating the avatar characters.
link wasn't very good gameplay wise unfortunately, you'd need to do a lot to it to make up for that then just translate it and put it in hd. like it is fundamentaly bad, which sucks because concept wise it's awesome.

So the senario were van and sora fuse might be possible and sort of hinted at by the fake that they look so alike and spoilers xehanort wants 13 other hims and he chose sora as xiii some may say well thats no spolier in kh 3d and the fact ven's heart is inside him ven's heart is pure light so if it were to merge with van it would be vantus or venitas all over again but sora's body

Technically, it would be possible for Vanitas to merge with Sora. Sora still has Ventus' heart in him, and Vanitas is the other half of Ventus. We already know he's capable of merging with Ventus, so he fuses himself with Ventus' heart while it's in Sora... It would be Ventus-Vanitas all over again, just MORE powerful due to Vanitas also controlling Sora as well, while also wielding an X-Blade.
