    Is the 2.3l install about the same?

      As far as I know there shouldn't be any difference. Hose connections will be the same, not sure about mounting location, but I would guess the same.

    I know this is a fairly new video but how are they holding up? Any condensation inside them? They look really good. Oracle makes a pair of these but they're like $1300 bucks

      So far they seem to be just fine. I've driven in some pretty crappy weather, Pa. to Tn., and I have no complaints. I saw those Oracle's and like them also, but that was just a little to expensive for me. These seem to be a good middle ground.

    Looks like a quality product. One thing missing from the video. You didn't explain why a CC is needed and what direct injection does to the intake valves over time. Nice how to video.

    From what I heard the 2.7L V6 is port injected so fuel is injected directly into the intake manifold, which helps to wash away carbon buildup and oil residue. This reduces the amount of oil vapor that enters the intake system, therefore a catch can is not necessary where as a 2.3L 4 cyl is direct Injected where the fuel is injected directly into the cylinders, bypassing the intake manifold.1 This can lead to more carbon buildup on the intake valves and increased oil vapor in the intake system. On my 4 cyl honda fit the catch can collects a LOT of oil, this is why your not seeing so much oil

      You are absolutely right. Before I got the oil can I had been following discussions on message boards and there was a lot of back and forth over this subject. So, my final decision was it can't hurt. I know that I'll have this Bronco for a long time, my last vehicle I had for 12 years, so anything that helps the longevity of the engine, no matter how minor, seems worth it to me. If they had an aftermarket soak back pump, I'd get one, to extend the life of the turbos. Thank you for your feedback.

    Did you plug the electrical connection back onto the side panel?

    • @BobsFordBroncoBadlandsSa-xt2rt
      @BobsFordBroncoBadlandsSa-xt2rt 4 місяці тому

      If you're talking about that small wire that I had to disconnect when I first pulled the panel off, you have a good eye. As soon as I closed it up, I was like Damn, I forgot that wire. So yes, I did re connect that wire, but I had to back up to do it. Don't make my mistake. LOL. I should have made a note of that on the video, but I was to frustrated with a simple mistake.

      I got the hitch off of the ford accessories website. It is OEM. I used the FordPass reward points that I got for buying the bronco to help pay for it. I got my dealer to update the computer for free. So out of pocket it only cost me about $98. I wanted the OEM so I knew it would fit with no problems, and it did.

    ive been thinking about adding this myself and then taking it in to get the computer update. Any issues with driving it until it gets updated?

      @BobsFordBroncoBadlandsSa-xt2rt 6 місяців тому

      No, no problems at all. I installed this at my house and drove for over an hour to my dealer. By the way, I asked a local dealer to do it and they said it would cost $180, so I asked the dealer I got the bronco from if they'd do it for free and they did. Only takes about 10 minutes to do and I believe all it really does is activate the 7 prong plug trailer brake, but I'm not certain.
