We missed Nathan very much

While I know there are many talented skaters in the field right now, none of them will add up to Nathan's consistency and gorgeous performance. He's a one of a kind performer, one that you can't find just anywhere. The quality of his jumps, the body lines, his grace, it's all unmatched compared to the competition now. One bad short program and he turned his entire career into an undefeated streak. He's been talking about training a lot on his Instagram lately. I wonder if he's teasing a comeback, but there's no sign of him being at US Nationals. Maybe next year he'll take a break from school...?

Can Mr. Chen ever practice in private? Another note, It must be rough leaving a sport so thoroughly conquered. When a little child, I was fascinated by the grace of ice skating; however, following Mr. Chen's career, from little guy on, we all must see clearly that he is in his very own league. Mr. Malinin is wonderful but-- just not quite there. We wish you well.

Un robo. Yuzuru Hanyu es y siempre será el rey del hielo. Él no solo es un atleta es un artista, convierte este deporte en arte en hielo. Es ridículo calificaciones tan altas para atletas que solo saltan , no todo es técnico también es interpretación, presentación es obvio y se sabe que todo fue un robo. Ahora lloran porque vuelva Yuzuru para llenar las arenas que van a animar solo a saltarines que parecen de un circo. Es diferente un deporte a un deporte hecho arte. Yuzuru es y será el rey de este deporte.

Poetry on ice…he becomes one with the elements and masterfully and elegantly coaxes them into the magic he is weaving, floating above their responses….the dialog just keeps expanding… textures are woven in seemingly effortless patterns ,playing with space,time and music… it all just flows thru him… time suspends itself…. Truly this type of artist only comes along once in a generation…the years of dedicated training forged in ballet/music/gymnastics/and skating have manifested… a true gift to the sport…All That coupled with a sunny disposition and innate graciousness…..thank you for sharing ….it transports

This program and in particular this performance truly is Nathan Chen's magnum opus.

The magnificence that is Nathan Chen. This was his best choreography and it shows just how equally skilled he was at artistry as jumping. Wasn't a fan of the Olympics choice but I guess balletic music bored him... or he preferred the challenge of technical difficulties, don't know. But the highlight of this final group performance is how extremely superior Nathan was compared to the whole lot of competitors - even the ones whose fans loved trying to tear him down. The score difference is not even funny, yet we know he watered down the technical here. Sad to see how winners nowadays are plagued with inconsistencies and unclean programs. The only person who has the capability to equal or better Nathan Chen is Ilia. Already we see the artistry improving by leaps and in a way, Ilia seems to have more natural technical prowess but just needs to hone in on developing consistency. The day he achieves this balance, mark my words, records will start breaking.
