Good job on sorting this out, I'm looking at doing a similar setup. One thing I'd recommend is at 7 minutes you only use set screws on that shaft, drill that shaft, and use a through bolt to make it more secure. It would be a bummer to loose steering after all this nice work and put the car in a ditch. Thank you for the tip about just buying the motor instead of getting it from a yard myself.

Another place to look at is just at the sides of the cabin filter and the plastic cover over drivers side. There is a rubber grommet, on the drivers side the bonnet release cable goes through it, on passenger side its just a rubber grommet to seal it off. Thats where my water came in, it tracks straight in and down behind the carpet. Ive pulled both sides and resealed.

I have a built in KA model as well. So glad you were able to fix yours. I'm on my third relay repair (2021 model) and would you believe we have a leak from the freezer line? So disappointing.

The Cowl does POP OFF it is CLIPPED ON ONLONG THE FRONY WINDSHIELD just start on the drivers side and slowly pull up and it will pop loose and keep going across to passenger side til it's totally released

Hi. I followed your instructions and it was very helpful. I purchased a drain hole clog removable tool kit from amazon and it came with a 5' snake which helped unclogged the drain hole.

It's called the "Knife edge" it's that little U shape in the trem itself that connects to the posts. This problem exists with nearly every single Floyd tremolo. It happens more to special, licensed and 1000 series models quite a lot. People turn the posts to change the string height with tension on the floyd. That action kills the knife edges. The key is to divebomb the trem and then move the posts up or down while divebombing. In Floyd Rose models made in Germany like the standard and pro models this problem is less prominent but still happens. It's the quality of the metals being used which makes a huge difference.

The cowling comes off if you start at the corner , lift the bottom edge outwards then finger in behind the cowling at top then run you finger along under it comes straight out

But did it work after you stopped the hissing? Mine is the same way.

We just got back from a week-long vacation to find a fairly major water puddle in the pass. side floor of my daughter's '10 Beetle. First video I found showed me the drain holes in the cowl (under the removable plastic cowl cover, it's simply clipped in) - which was indeed covered up in muddy gak. Cleaned that out and was thankful it was a fairly easy fix and I could move on with my life. But then your video showed up. Guess I'm tearing into the dash now. 🙄 All this after doing the rear sun roof drain ducts reseal several months back shortly after we bought the car! Germans may be good at engineering, but really suck at water management. "At least these Beetles are cute, and my daughter loves it." I keep telling myself...

Does the sam fix apply to the driver's side door water leak? I have been stumped by what's causing condensation inside my car

Going to be doing this today. I rented a dehumidifier and ran it all night and it extracted tons of water. Then when I woke up this morning, it was soaking wet again. Time to diagnose.

Nice video, but never tune the guitar in any position other than normal playing position. You'll notice that your tuning is either sharp or flat otherwise

It's so weird to me that the ECU appears to be inside the water drainage area, lol...

I have this same issue but on the back seat floor, do you think it's coming from the door?

I'm having the same issue my laser works but disc won't spin but I also noticed from your videos that the spindle motor pops up when the disc is inserted mine doesn't the middle of the disc there is a gap between it and the spindle so I think the magenta isn't making contact but the spindle does spin

Thanks for doing this....very few people show off Acoustic Control amps and speakers any more. They made great stuff. I have this bottom and an Acoustic Control 470 amp. It sounds great....the Doors used Acoustic Control.

That cab is rated at 200 watts....at 4 ohms, I think. Those speakers handle 50 watts each.

Im looking at a 105 planning on pairing it with a orange cr120 head and playing a 1993 gibson les Paul through it and trying to get some stoner/doom type tones.
