While I am sure we are all disappointed by the official side of things, I definitely think the movement should continue. Cosmo has been one of my favorite characters ever since I saw Season 3 of Sonic X as an elementary schooler (for reference, I am going into graduate school this upcoming fall). I appreciate the efforts of you guys and your channel, Discord, etc. Hopefully this isn’t the last we will see of you, and hopefully Cosmo will be saved in the end (even if it takes several years to get there).

I feel like the next step is for SEGA/Sonic Team to take action. I'm glad we understand the situation; and possibly the next step to combat it. Although copyright and limitations are evident, i think it's nice that Cosmo is able to get references. I feel like this is a similar situation to the characters in the Monsterverse Godzilla films. For those who don't know, the American produced Godzilla films are produced by Legendary, and order to use the monsters created by Toho, (Godzilla's original distributer), they must pay royalties to include these characters in their films. I feel that this is a similar situation with Cosmo, and in this case, SEGA would have to buy the rights of Cosmo from TMS, in order to use her. It also seems that in Godzilla: King of the Monster, a character who has not yet been bought from Toho is Anguirus. Although the character does not appear in the film, he is referenced as a skeleton. For Cosmo, I feel that the plant easter egg is a similar situation, where they reference the character without having to pay an initial royalty. She's always been very high up in my favorite Sonic characters, and I would absolutely love to see her return. I'm glad she's getting acknowledgement through cameos, in the meantime.
