    So just pay in cash and stay of the grid. The only way they know is if they can aggregate everything you buy and see that there is a lot of money going out of you without any papertrail of going in. All you have to do is make sure they dont know its going out as well

    So I only have 3 years to get my money from them and there’s no time restriction for them getting money from me?

    • @karenaburgess
      @karenaburgess 4 місяці тому

      @@JustMe-md2nc great question… they put a stature of limitations on how long the “hold” onto your money for you… normally 3 years! However if you owe them money, they have 10years to get it from you in most cases. For certain situations it could be longer

    • @karenaburgess

      Valid point!! You don't want them to have the final word if you can help it... the code is written to give us room to advocate for ourselves. In this case, they know how much they want, but if you have other expenses to offset that winnings, they won't know, so it's best for you to stand up and say something

    Who's auditing the taxpayers that's making $40,000 or less since AI is auditing the large corporations, high income earners, and large partnerships?

    Also, ive recently bought the study guide i believe the study guides have been updated until February 2024. However, I won't have them all studied and completed before then needless to say. Do I need to buy new study guides for the 2024-2025 tax year? Or do you think I'm good? My plan to pass the EA by the end of summer '24. Thank you in advance. ❤

    • @karenaburgess
      @karenaburgess 11 місяців тому

      If you just purchased the new updates, you should be good to go until next year... the test are normally a year behind... so NOT 2024... study hard, focus and pass the test, during this testing cycle, else you will need to get the updates for next year when the changes are made... Cheering for you! 💜

    Thank you for sharing. I've been going back and forth over making this decision of becoming an EA. I currently work at H&R Block as a Tax Associate but I am also aware that I dont need to wait with H&R Block to get my EA. The income potential is great. We'll see.....

    • @karenaburgess
      @karenaburgess Рік тому

      Glad you found it helpful! Just for context I started at H&R Block to get an idea of whether or not I wanted to pursue this field. But as you said, you can’t wait for them get you your EA… though you can add value to them by getting your EA, if you decide to continue working with them. So what’s been the biggest “show stopper” for you at this point?
