yes they will work, you just need the correct hex

Can you use these rims and tires on a savage xl

no, the hex are 1ust aluminum hexes. you can use the hexes that come with the rims or with the kit. the tires themself widen the stance due to the width of the tires.

Did you use any hex hub prolonger in your shaft?

yess, it is a plano 7771-03. it comes with 4 sliding in boxes and one place in. for the price it hauls all my hobby stuff better than any of the actually hobby designed boxes.

yea it does not affect it at all. the width is a little tight but it wrks just fine

yes it is but mine are the black chrome version. u just have to work slightly to no extra work to get the tires on.

I have both sets and i use those tires (Hpi Dirt Bonz Xtra Soft) for racing in loose dirt they are very good tires for the prices i use the big joes for bashing

the tires i am using on my savagewidened the stance thus giviin me beter corniering speed. i would always recommend beadloc rims tho. the fact of being able to switch the tires and use the same rims is nice. saves money but is requires a lot of time to switch tires if need be.
