Movie Legend James Dean grew up in Fairmount Indiana and got his acting start on the high school stage. Fairmount High School was demolished but through a grassroots effort spearheaded by Mr. Jake Roth, the stage was salvaged and moved to the Pavilion were the “James Dean Memorial Stage” is now located.
