Caleb is a 2x California State Placer, 4x High School All-American, Division 1 College Wrestler at Oregon State, Professional MMA fighter and Jiu Jitsu Black Belt. With over 15 years of coaching experience, Caleb finds his purpose in training young athletes to become top competitors on the mat and in life.
In this episode of The Brave Co Podcast, I sit down with my cousin Caleb, an inspiring coach, former MMA fighter, and wrestling advocate, to discuss his journey through sports, fatherhood, and building a meaningful legacy. Caleb shares stories from his wrestling roots, his transition to MMA, and the life lessons he's gained along the way.
From his early days of state-level wrestling to training with some of the best MMA fighters in the world, Caleb opens up about the highs and lows of competitive sports, overcoming failures, and finding purpose in coaching and mentoring the next generation. We also dive into the founding of his nonprofit, Danger to Dreams Foundation, which supports young athletes in achieving their goals.
Whether you're a parent looking to empower your kids, a sports enthusiast, or someone seeking inspiration to run toward your own challenges, this conversation will encourage you to embrace hard work and resilience. Don't miss Caleb's insights on cultivating grit, the importance of mentorship, and the value of stepping into the unknown.

Well, I homeschooled my four children and took care of my husband and the home without any break. I was belittled and yelled at over small matters by my husband. As a result my children disrespected me because how my husband tteated me. Two out of four adult children now respect me now. The other two and my husband don't respect me. At my age now, I am learning to set boundaries and keeping my distance from those who treat me as if I am not worthy.

Hello Gentlemen! Is there a recommendation you could make for women who would like to receive this message geared towards the feminine? I just listened to two of John Eldredge’s teachings. I’m blown out of the water, sending it to my husband and sons. I’m still here though. I would love to hear a woman with this level of insight and wisdom, patience, and generosity. recommendations will be deeply appreciated. Thank you.

This is wrong. This is teaching you learn your masculinity from the culture. True biblical masculinity is learned from our Savior and example Jesus Christ. ua-cam.com/video/eSSs8wAjdaU/v-deo.htmlsi=fp_2O9cqr063gXX8

So youre saying masculinity isnt inherent? Interesting…. By the way I know a man. He lost his dad as a baby. To call him a boy because he had no father is obtuse Youre trying to say something here and its almost good but in the process you have insulted many many *men*

Tough and manly as you say. God gave us domain over women as our wives. Pick dinner, provide for your family, do everything in your power to make sure she doesn’t want. If it’s less than that you don’t deserve marriage. This is what you’ve been ordained by God to do.

I’ve listened to a lot of different teachings on spiritual warfare. This is the first one that actually gives you weapons to fight with. The others were just pray. You guys teach how to actually take the sword of the spirit and wield it. After listening to this twice I bought your book and and spirit wars and Danny Silks book KYLO.

You have to address the prevailing experience of men who did express their emotion and were ruthlessly punished for it and rewarded for keeping it in. From both men and especially women. Then you can talk about solutions from that framework. And also a discussion on when it is appropriate to do so. Because if we're on the job? I cant have you falling into a blubbering mess. I need you, head in the game, focused on the job, focused on the mission. Afterwards you can cry, but never when I need you to perform. See thats the nuance thats missing.

I love this stuff! Question, how do you get through to a spouse who has built up walls to protect themselves, due to rejection, abandonment, and sexual abuse in their earlier years? My wife is completely unapproachable, very defensive and rarely if ever vulnerable - and totally rejects the idea that she needs healing. Of course she's built up defense mechanisms to protect her heart and wounds. But again, how do you navigate a marriage like that? Obviously I pray for my wife and cry for her healing - but it just feels so helpless. We can't go to marriage counseling or read a book on marriage and relationships without her pointing the finger at me at every turn and refusing to be in the spotlight herself. So it's like, the only way for her to get the healing she needs is to acknowledge that she needs it, and only God can get through to her closed and damaged heart. It just feels helpless and hopeless, because God says he resists the proud but gives grace only to the humble - so as long as she resists, there's no hope for healing - unless God just sovereignly breaks her.

Thank you for listening to our podcast! So sorry that this has been a difficult season for your marriage, keep believing and don't give up praying for your wife. Believing and praying with you that there will be healing and restoration in Jesus name!🙏

That was not "the religious stuff" when Peter said "Go away from me for I am a sinful man!" It was a heartfelt response to the Holy presence. And there was no "inside joke." It was clearly intended as a parallel to convey meaning.

Elon is not a good role model as a man or business man. Oh yea he says that about sex. He needs to get fixed asap. He has 10 children he has basically abandoned and ignored many of them. He has destroyed his ex wives lives and these poor traumatized children. He leaves. He gets spectrum boredom and avoids. He is neurodivergent on the spectrum and is not managing this well and needs some counseling. His family generational racism and fathers dysfunction as a bad role model sexualizing a daughter like Woody Alan is disgusting. He only gets investors and government grants. He is not the genius you think. Do some really good background research on him.

I'm going to tell you a little story a little bit about myself, I was a normal kid grew up in a normal middle class family born in the 80s grew up in the 90s cried in 2000s when I watched my country get destroyed, throughout my life I've had quite a few tests and challenges and I wish I would have known then that it was just the universe forging my will in fire..... I started dating a girl in high school when I was in 11th grade and we ended up being in an 18-year relationship, I had all kinds of ambitions as a younger man but just as he said whenever the sex and partying and just things kids do started my ambition started immediately dropping, fast forward those 18 years and I had to completely tear myself down and rebuild myself because that comfortability destroyed me as a human being and as a man and it ruined my relationship. I was taking methadone for opioid abuse treatment got cold turkied in jail county jail for pot pipe charge, that was an extremely miserable situation cuz they don't have a detox protocol they just cut you off and hopefully you don't die, having said that I got put back on the methadone about another year goes by and just recently I detoxed myself off that crap in my basement and I made it as uncomfortable as humanly possible for me in my own house right down to wearing my hunting coveralls to simulate the jumpsuit.... People ask me if I was crazy and I said no but how do you expect me or for that matter who in their right mind would put themselves through this and leave that comfortability but I did it and I did it in the roughest way possible for myself because you can't learn from comfortability but in my uncomfortable state I grew so fast and as a final test of my will and resolve I had one bottle of methadone left from my clinic, I made a loved one hide it in their bedroom and keep hold of it not in case I got weak and needed it but because I wanted to show myself just how tough I was.... Laying there puking sweating restless legs shitting yourself and all the while I had a bottle of quote unquote anecdote and I wouldn't let them dump it down the drain till I felt like I was good so yeah I agree 100%
