I love your take on this. I recently unearthed my Jhoira deck as well and am looking to update it from 10+ years ago. EDH era pre “commander” relabeling. I feel like you could include 2-3 take extra turn cards in your build to really go over the top. Also for a classic board wipe decree of annihilation is outstandingly dirty. Especially with the EOT suspend everything you can and then on your turn cycle decree to destroy all lands everyone controls. If planning this play I’ll also sometimes sneakily suspend cards that remove time counters when I have open mana before I suspend all my larger threats so that way things get out of hand very rapidly without everyone else knowing what’s up. This strategy also often allows me to just dig on subsequent turns for the big bombs that I can suspend later then accelerate with the already suspended counter reducing cards.

Anyone suggest a permanent that can generate life on an opponent’s turn? Hopefully not an involved combo, because my list is already tight due to a meta-specific need for additional Spot Removal.

Just bought the emmara precon the other day and have been playtesting it base with no modifications or tweaks trying to think of what formula i wanted to go for and this video just solved it, thank you so much for this awesome idea

Envoy of the Ancestors is Abzan Battle Priest for 1C less, and Metastatic Evangel is a great 1W 1C proliferate whenever a nontoken creature ETBs that makes a solid alternative to the very expensive Sword. (Though keep an eye out, because WotC seems to be in a Sword Of reprinting cycle right now.) I’ve found that a lot of the alternative Selesnya Commanders can fit in this deck quite well. A lifegain sub-theme can pair up with the right Heliod and Lathiel, the Bounteous Dawn to give the deck more bite. (That Archangel of Thune and Serra Ascendent are going to tempt you toward the Proxy Side, though.) If you do decide on including life gain, Retreat to Kazandu is a great 3-drop landfall enchant.

Man, you're one of the first youtubers that did a commander overview in less than 10 minutes. That's what we need when just want to understand the deck objective. Great video and great intro.

What are you going to do when you put your only win condition under Cloudform/Lightform and its not a creature? If Jace and Approach of the Second Sun get exiled you're hooped. Good luck winning with combat damage by attacking with your 1/4s. If I could make a recommendation, Cavalier of Gales is a solution but just taking Cloudform and Lightform out would also be good.

Imagine drawing cards. Imagine not topdecking your cards from exile straight onto the board. Imagine not suspending Flaming Tyrannosaurus and Keeper of Secrets while Jhoira the Eager Archaeologist Acts with Impulse. Imagine letting your opponent know you have a card coming, and not letting that suspended card get wild magicked back into your deck and turn into a brand new thing that even you don't know what it is. It's a Storm of Possibilities. It's a veritable Paradox. Especially when you Pool your Knowledge and become One with the Multiverse

Manaform hellkite and Ancient Copper Dragon would be great additions to this. Also potentially a storm-kiln artist.

Land destruction

It should be noted that solemn simulacrum and skullclamp don't work when a token gets exiled. Solemn is still a good add for the ability to tutor free lands, but it's second ability won't go off when it's exiled. Great video though, one of my favorite mono red commanders and flamerush rider was a great add I didn't know about.

FYI Sphinx of the second sun would only give you a short window of time to cast instants off the second opponents deck since you don’t get another main phase after the second beginning phase.

very cool. im building an upgraded breed lethality and found this great as many guides are over 5 years old. ive also gound edhrec isnt always the best place to go as many cards like spike weaver arent even on there. one thing i noticed in the planeswalker section is no Ajani, Mentor of Heroes? you dont rate him?

Wondering if we can squeeze some more win cons in the deck as a "just in case" sickening dreams is shut down/Countered/ exiled? Thinking of throwing a pox in there with glacial chasm, and a colossus hammer or something.

Love the honor-worn shaku, definitely a card that could out it some work that could easily be missed when doing a scryfall search. Any reason Tuvasa was not included with the other enchantresses? My normal playgroup has a Tuvasa who usually gets very scary.

I knew I had heard the intro before, and its the pingers deck! Still havent made my own pinger deck, but jhoira was the first commander I made, and I would only change 3 things really. Dragonstorm is insane, just suspend 2-3 cards including DS, and you got 2-3 dragons of your choice on board. The next one might be meta dependant, but I had to change propaganda since it just didnt help more than a boardwipe or kill spell would instead. And lastly, I think to many things need to go right for inspiring refrain to be worth it, if you suspend it, it takes to long to really gain anything. Say you play it turn three, it gets you 2 cards turn 6 and then net gain 4 cards turn 9. Rousing refrain on the other hand is fine, because it can let you do more when it hits, and you can play it turn 2, for an explosive turn 5. Also you probably wont use any time counters on any of these 2. I have never thought about the fleet swallower and Diluvian synergy, but suddenly I think they seem interesting. Thanks for the vid!
