Rutzy! Sorry for (really) late comment.
Trying to become a pro after my last season of D2 footy, hearing stories like this are like heroin to me
Top bloke Ryan. You can just tell his knowledge and passion for the game is top notch.
matt i am a 15 yr old in Australia currently playing fq2 in brisbane do you have any tips to help me get into the A-luague
this is so dumb i won't get a reply
keep going primo, The Cedeno family is proud of you.
Truly inspirational, I played with him my freshman year and out of all the players that I have met he’s the one that I knew for a fact was going to make it, much respect to him 👏🏽👏🏽
Amazing story wow
Next up 🫶🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼
El mejor🇪🇨
Cendeño representing Ecuador!!!!
This is my favorite guest since rodrigo da costa, what an inspirational story!

One of the best podcast episodes ❤
Really high level? hahaha
Pffffff watch Sunday league
nah thats wack in australia we play sports until we die you guys quit at 22 when college ends
Yeah no we don’t kangaroo Jack. There’s leagues all the way up to senior leagues 65+. You’re a fucking idiot.
People outside the U.S who play sports have a better chance of going pro than over here in the states
Pretending like pro athletes outside of the U.S. don’t also get degrees is ridiculous. Also outside of the U.S young pro players actually get paid
NIL deals exist after highschool and now in high school, talking on young pro players they do get paid they just don’t like to settle with how much they are making jamar chase is a prime example and he’s not considered as “young” anymore
Yeahh… you’re talking abt the1% though. Maybe it’s 2 or 4 but you’re taking abt the smallest percentage. The majority of college athletes discount the best school they could get bc they have hope of the league while on my .84% of college athletes get in.
Lol a scholarship is an "opportunity" compared to... a univerisity degree in Europe that is free? The problem with american sports are that if you aint good enough for it at university level then you quit after high school. In europe the friday night lights dont go out just because you quit your school. Look at european teams youth programs for any major sport and you'd realize that you dont know what opportunity means lol.
Totally disagree with this take. Sports are more easily accessible to those outside of the states. In America it's extremely expensive to put your kids through sports of any kind. It's generally a privilege.
They’re talking about once you reach the age of 18-24. I agree that sports in America is too expensive for the youth, but being able to pursue a degree while also playing at a high level with the best facilities is unmatched to any country
mbappe hit 200 career goals by 22 ,messi won 3 ballon d'or by 22, haaland won treble by 22 . These college ballers enter pro game by 22 and they have to compete with young talent who are much younger than them With college route you are not even into 100% being pro because there are many distraction.youth academy ballers dedicate their life to being pro because football is their life (said by arsene wenger) so youth academy is the best
You’re talking about the top .01% lol
These degrees are meaningless and the amount of tuition u pay os crazy, leaving you with college depth, and still struggling to get a job
Top video!!! Very relatable 🔥🔥
''We Love you homegrowns we do, we love you homegrowns we do, Oh Sticky Vic we Love you'' 🔥
damn this guy was given everything since a kid lol must be nice
MLS academies are not pay to play you gotta actually be good to play there so he must have been pretty talented
@@abooddawood3552they are literally pay to play

Should having a moustache be banned federally, thoughts?
The Every Touch analysis is legit the best. Even when you eventually do age out you could continue that and make a living out of analyzing other people's games.
Playing for the same high school, and playing pick up with Alex was surreal!
Great podcast! 🤩
This is the best one! Ryan Williams great guy.
I love your podcasts. I’m currently recovering from an ACL injury, 5 months post op. Not sure if you remember me Matt, met you a few times at DCFC. First time I had crutches and second time you signed my ‘Path2Pro’ Journal. Love your podcast and love what you told me that day to continue pushing and pursuing to go play pro. Anything is possible and seeing/listening to these it gives me more light and reason.
