i remember once reading one of the lore books in game, about 3 life weavers on a quest to revive an old dead hero, and how it ended horribly. since the heros soul was already lost in the depths, the thing that was in place of its soul was one of the deep gods i think, or just a being from the depths in general. i remember the way they sealed it away was by sacrificing themselves and trapping it in a metal box, which nullified all lifeweave, thus making the heros body still again. the way they tried to revive him in the first place was by transfering life from an entire field of flowers around the heros corpse

you forgot to talk about the main mechanic in lifeweaving that is transferring life like they did to starswept valley, they absorb all the life in there to build up the greathive of aratel and that possibly lifeweaving ingame would involve player’s life transfer to make plant-like structures and mantras

Life weave artifact may not be the protection of rather but rather the manipulation of life or the perversion of it I mean look at the blister rift or starswept it's become a desolate waste land from the perversion of such power the forge of win could just be able to control souls in general while the forge of life could be a total perversion and mutilation of it the absurd trees are quite literally a perversion of life no tree should ever be that tall
