Mountain Biking Utah's Finest Trails
In order of appearance - Gooseberry Mesa Trail (my absolute favorite) in Apple Valley, Utah. Yellow Fork Canyon Trail in Herriman, Utah. Little Cottonwood Canyon Trail (or Temple Quarry Trail) in Sandy, Utah.
All videos show my 29er single speed Cannondale. I love that bike.

How to reset the needle bearings on a Cannondale Lefty fork
Переглядів 86 тис.11 років тому
Is your Lefty fork a little shorter? Has it lost some travel? You may need to "reset your needle bearings." Don't ask me to explain it, I just know how to fix it.

    If anyone needs maintenance on this fork (lefty speed) lookup Mendon Cyclesmith out of Ionia New York

    PBR models are a little different. Letting air out at the bottom, pushing down on the bars is a kinder, gentler way...

    Just curious.....what is the advantage of this type of front suspension over a traditional fork ? Seems this set up would be weaker.....anyone......forgive my ignorance......

    Why you have to do this? Whats the reason? Seems very weird to me to slam the under part down like this....doesnt that treatment destroy the bearings and fork?

    steer tube diameter lefty max? 1.5" or 1.56"

      Normally Lefty's have 1.5 Steerer tube...you can adapt a 1 1/8 Tube with reducers to fit in the Lefty and then you are able to fit the Fork in normal MTB Frames

    Hi there, I have problem with my Cannondale Jekyll 2000. I hope you can show me how to fix it. - Some wrong with the fork (it 's moving up and down not smooth!) so what I have to fix? what kind the fluid I have put in the fork? - Shimano XTR left hand side is very hard, I can not shift to change the big sprocket (has 3 sprockets). If I pull the cable (from middle) I can she the thing move, but I could not able move the thing, from the level! Please show me how to fix them. I appreciated. my email quoctrangchuotbeo4@gmail.com Regards, Quoc Doan

      On the left you might need a new front derailer or wire

    Love the trails down there, also if you get some rubbing alcohol and wipe the rotors, it will stop the squeak.

    Cheers mate. Took me only a few minutes to do mine this way, no measuring required.

  • @traingp7
    @traingp7 11 років тому

    The supplement manual for your fork will tell you in millimeters how long your fork should extend. I have a 2010 carbon SL 26inch and the manual states it should be around 695 millimeters plus or minus 5 millimeters. Download the manual for this fork and follow it for the correct measurement. The new models 13 and up are nice because you don't have to take the fork apart at all to reset the bearings and no fork boot to get damaged.
