Lol, Basenjis can b too silent. My Basenji isn’t very vocal but sure is meschiv prone. Never a dull moment around here 😂😂❤❤🎉🎉

This is how my family has been making spaetzle for over 100 years. We put them on an rack on the counter to dry before frying. Ours do crisp up a bit and serve them with sauerbraten gravy.

I had an on call pager (yes I am that old) with my second Basenji. He would grab it off the night stand and stuff it in the couch if it went off at night because he knew I would have to leave him to answer the call. Try explaining that to your boss.

When raising them as a kid we had basenji's that howled and yodeled like that and sometimes the police came by cause of a report from neighbors that they thought kids were being beat.

I have a mutt who appears to be a basenji / chihuahua mix (which I call a "bahuahua", pronounced "bawawa".) Fortunately she can bark and does not do this, but when she's excited and wants to play, she does let out some earsplitting yaps that are influenced by this type of vocalizing.

This always makes laugh because when they say barkless dogs, they don't mean quite dogs. It just means they don't bark like a normal type of bark that most other dogs do, they yodel and howl like in this video.

Haha and I thought mine two senjis were loud. Mom used to wait with me at the bus stop when I was a kid and once we'd go out and wait at the stop, the howling would commence! Could hear it across the street!
