what is the avg cost of a rebuild on those engine that have lot of hours on them? I hear so many different answers
I'm a newbie to boating divorced after 17 yr s physician im getting close to retirement..Im looking for 6 month live aboard boat here in NY State for I have a home in Croatia which I will live on and hang out in europe for the other 6 months. Im looking to entertain nothing fast just a nice gentleman type boat to entertain dinners on and enjoy with friends the slow life on the hudson river. Glad I found your channel.
Good video...just note that because you're measuring in dB (which is log scale), your sound reduction is 6-7x, not 22%. Take care
I bought a aqua catamaran cruiser house boat have it boat yard a year fixing it up had quite a bit water damage. I hope to be living on her by July august full time and can’t wait for her to be over in the ocean that day will be so exciting.
EPIC Video 🎥 Last time I was in St. Augustine we went to Harry's New Orleans French Quarter style outdoor courtyard cafe - and I had these amazing French Baked Scallops smothered in French creme & cheese, baked in a personal sized cast iron skillet!!!! 🍹 Daaang, I'm making myself hungry over here!!!! 😂🤣😂
what if you don't wanna keep your yacht in a marina? are you allowed to stay in the ocean? and come to the marina just to re-up on fuel etc? and how much would that cost?
Flagler Beach here, great video! I didn’t realize there’s a live aboard marina in Palm Coast. Will have to check it out.
Thank you Sir.
my family had a 97 44 sundancer and we took it from bay city MI to ft lauderdale fl and everywhere between loved it unfortunatly we sold it during hard times but being older i can buy my own and have the expierence still they are easy to maintain easy to pilot boats
Great information thanks
Lucky you
Good channel, sir. Good info for newer boaters
It's been 2 years since you've posted. Are you still boating in Florida? Would you be agreeable to helping me with names of engine mechanics, air-conditioning maintenance, cleaning/detailer in the tampa/clearwater/st. pete area?
Hey Tony you have a very nice boat, also I think we could pass as brothers, we look very much alike.
how many layers did you use? do you still recommend this?
I had good results with soundproof cow on my boat as well very helpful tech support
I am not in love with the style,to modern, completely not my taste,to long of a nose, however,it is your taste,👍😀do enjoy your boat and boating, sir
Hello--Congratulations! You've got a wonderful boat! I am surprised however, that you keep plastic (Tupperware) underneath the oven. It would be too close for me, afraid that the Tupperware might melt. (Hey, then you could host a Tupperware party on the boat! LOL! Perhaps the melting factor will not matter once you install the convection oven(?) I am not sure.
Lol I don’t care about the name of your boat. It had nothing to do with live aboard. Some people are too obsessed with their boats.
What about yearly bottom paint????
Why not why your healthy
Thank you for the informative video. I hope you're still enjoying your life aboard despite COVID. I subscribed :)
Damn, the petrol / diesel seems so cheap în US 🤔😎
Where is iaht?
Very nice boat. By the way: Is there still the decal transfer foil attached on the boat name? Best, Chris
Thank you for your videos. I hope you post more soon! I am getting ready to retire and liveaboard. Do you see many solo women liveaboards?
I have a Chris Craft 320 Cruiser and absolutely loving the Boat Life... 🛥🌊
Fresh fish from Caps on the Water is amazing. Glad you had fun!
LOVE OC White's! One of my favorite restaurants! Shrimp & Grits are our favorite too!
I've seen your boat a few times when we visited St. Augustine with Mom. I'd swear I've seen you moored at Beaches of Vilano! It's so cool to see your vlog and meet the person behind the gorgeous yacht!
You are living the dream. I'm working towards the same goal. This too has been a dream of mine. Happy sales, and be safe.👍⚓🛥😀
A good rule of thumb I've always used is expect to spend 20% of purchasing price
Hello
Thanks for this helpful video! We're hoping to lessen our diesel engine noise in our 35' sailboat. Just to double check, which product did you use from Soundproof Cow? Was it the fiberglass or foam composite from their site here: www.soundproofcow.com/product-category/soundproofing-materials/soundproofing-barriers?
One of the Best Ideas of SoundProofing is "SoundProof Curtains" it actually Block outside Noise coming from Windows. Check Here: livesoundproof.com/best-soundproof-curtains/
WHAT R THOSE!
Hi tony , what a great video I much appreciated it , I’ve raised 3 kids done with all that motherhood stuff and am looking at a way to live my life now for me ... so I started venturing out and I found a 1980 , 44 foot Trojan motor yacht for 109.000 Detroit Diesel engine. What are your thoughts ?
Run
Wonderful however you really need a boat load of money to live like this. I would do the same thing if I had the necessary finances to plow into it.
Wow your engines sounded super loud ! Was the compartment open ?
Really nice vlog, great boat, but not really suited as a liveaboard!
Remember living on a boat means everything is always damp. Weather can be a huge problem. Cold weather is very uncomfortable. It's also hard to keep cool unless your not concerned with huge electric bills. Everything that needs maintenance is a specialty type trade and is very expensive. Very difficult to work on. Because of the tight quarters. Constant leaks both from the water your in and the rain. When a boat goes by your going to feel it and it's not always a gentle rocking. Storms can be infuriating. Deliveries of any kind are a hassel. Wind can also be a pain to deal with. Tiny food prep area, called a galley it's more like a service cart with water. Lots to overcome but don't let anyone tell you it's easy.
i have 38 ft 1989 sea fay sundancer .. liveaboard... me and little dog tiny ...ft myers fla
The story about your boat name is awesome! Cheers!
NEVER SAW THE LIVING CONDITIONS..... ALL TALK!
Nice looking boat ..hope you are enjoying it!
In my opinion, the Hinkley is the best one yet. So beautiful and classy
Thank you for this video. Pursuing this dream. Furniture sold, currently searching for a larger boat.
Very awesome. We live in our 42 ft bluewater yacht for part of the year. We love it. It’s amazing how quickly you adapt to the small space. Good records are amazing!! Air conditioning is key. ❤️❤️❤️
Dude you the man cute wife go sun get it you got it
A great video of the breakdown of costs. Love it! I'm in NH and looking at a Sundancer 450 (or thereabouts) for next season. One thing I'm curious about, do you maintain an engine reserve? I'm a pilot and it's common for aircraft owners to set aside money hourly for the inevitable engine overhaul. I don't plan to hammer the engines, we're just cruising anyway, right? But I'm curious to know how others handle this.
